“Thought my PP grip was cracked !” PP with R.F.V. Stamped on front grip strap has a “cracked” weighted grip - but it’s not cracked, it has that separation you showed (about 1/3 distance in from the side and about 1 inch long). Now I know to leave it alone and not replace the grip. Thank you for the continuing education.

The German word for soft is weich and the word for unharden is ungehärtet so maybe it's the first letters in these words.

The letter W could/would mean in german WEICH = Soft = unhardened

Tom, at 2:49 in the video is a soldier holding a PP with white grips. They look plastic, not Ivory, etc. Is there any history of PPs with white plastic grips? I know someone who owns a 1942 military issue with white plastic grips. Could these be original?

Hi would the w be for walther & the u would that be for umurex ? I might have spelled it wrong. ? How can i send you a pic of my walther pp ?
@LegacyCollectibles4 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, the easiest way to send us photos is to email them to info@legacy-collectibles.com. Thanks!

Send me photos at info@legacy-collectibles.com. I found out the W is for "soft" to mean the metal was not hardened. (they skipped that process) And the U on the P-38 magazine means "unhardened". Thanks for watching.
