I love that Meredith wouldn’t kick them out because they’re her family and “who she has.” They all would have probably moved out in due time for various reasons anyway but I like that at least for a moment the “nuclear family” was not the end all be all of the situation. Families are made up of all kinds of people and I hate that households are expected to be a couple and potentially children (+MAYBE an elderly parent)

MerDer were perfect for each other tbh. Derek had to grow up fast after his fathers death and he was a lot more mature and stuck in ways in some aspects while Mer was still somewhat immature in here was. Like his mom said she brought color into his gray world.

Derek was so controlling, imagine asking someone to kick their roomates out of THEIR house, and looking back, meredith really had a weak personality when it came to standing up for herself in front of derek in the beginning But they do complement each other, derek needs to grow up, meredith gives him that, i mean he acts like a kid sometimes, also meredith needs to lighten up a bit and enjoy things more, i mean she doesnt really appreciate stuff, she didnt even want a wedding. I definitely believe they needed each others point of view many times throughout their relationship

It’s weird, Meredith grew into her looks in Season 5. Before that I always thought she we OK but nothing special.

Derek wasn’t wrong for wanting to discuss the roommate situation eventually with Meredith. However, they had not been back together for that long at this point but that doesn’t really matter. Most importantly, Derek went about it *absolutely* wrong and in the rudest way possible by just assuming Izzie and Alex were leaving without even discussing the subject at all with Meredith.
