Hi Louise, thanks for doing the shortened version, appreciated. Question, could you make the side pieces narrower so that the lapels don't stand out quite so much and therefore make the overall card narrower? Love this card. Thanks Louise and have a beautiful weekend xx Hugs xx

Thank you! You could narrow the sides, but then it wouldn't overlap at the bottom. It's all about angles!

You can cut them after folding but before decorating. You'd have to figure the measurements out yourself, because the lapels don't make a right-angled triangle anymore. Or you'd have to make the fold come a little in at the top, making the opening smaller.
