Today was quite the day. First day with Spyder means new vantage point, and a new car to learn. Approximately +120hp and 15 years newer, 65k fewer miles GT suspension compared to the Boxster.
Before the day started, minimum oil level was hit which was unfortunate. Added a quart before running, but will do oil change.
At the end of the day, it seems like BR Racing didn’t tighten something down quite correctly since the car had a slight pull to the right which I noticed on the drive home. Will address on Monday.
First run in video (47.888) was fastest in the morning. Second was fastest in the afternoon (46.609). Coned every single run in the afternoon which led to awful results, but if I hadn’t (and no idea where I hit it…) would have placed #7 PAX and #2 in class.
Car is going to take adjustment. Loud pedal needs to be treated less binary and learning how the car behaves at limit (frankly just scary lol). It’s so stiff, corrections must happen very quickly. Overshooting u-turns is also a personal problem rearing its ugly head again, brakes feel very different but much stronger.
