It was a muddy mess! I let a few of the other riders around me on the start. I like to get the holeshot but I know some of the other riders are faster than me, so I don’t want to hold them up. I have not tried mode 2 instead of 3 on slop days yet, but I think that might be a good idea. I will try it next time, although I try to avoid these types of races. And yes, I may have stayed home had I known. :-) I did ride one other race last year with similar conditions, but I knew it was going to be a mess and had optimal tires for the race, so I did better on that one. It was the First K-XCR race of 2021 and my first race on my electric motorcycle. I was not posting videos at that time, but I do have 2 laps of good footage before a mud clod blocked the view. I may go ahead and post it sometime in the future. There was a ton of mud on the bike for sure on this race, and it made it that much harder to pick up on crashes. The electric motor never overheated, but I heard a quite a few of the other gas bikes had that problem.
