I’ve been binge watching tornado videos lately and this particular one has my jaw on the floor. Absolutely awe-inspiring. I’m thankful for the men and women who go after these storms so that we can stay safer.

This is stunning footage of what is as far as I know a unique incident of twin EF4 tornadoes. I could hear their roars in the distance.

Man we complain when we get a few trees blown down in a thunderstorm here in NYC but I couldn't imagine if we'd aver get a thunderstorm with twin tornadoes within 10 miles of each other like that. I'm not trying to be crazy but could anyone imagine if any city was to be hit by something like that. Man nature can surprise the hell out of us.

Amazing how much importance these 'professional' storm chasers place on themselves.

How does it feel to be this close to such a significant storm? Perhaps a very naive question, but just watching this excellent video gives me chills. No one knows how these storms will play out exactly, or how they might turn unexpectedly. It must be both very exciting and very scary.

How fast do a vortex travel? I know it varies, but on an average. Was thinking of how easy/hard it would be to escape from one and its debris's range if you were at a safe distance, but then suddenly it went in your direction.

Can someone explain the science behind two tornadoes? Separate supercells? How does one not overpower the other? Can they meet and morph into one tornado or are their wind patterns too strong?

We are very very worried about injuries and fatalities in these things, as he drives straight past homes that have been flattened seconds before? Unsubscribed.
