it says throughout google and the exercise book that blastocysts are PLURIPOTENT, not totipotent?

You are right, this is a mistake in the video. Totipotent is the newly formed embryo, pluripotent is the blastocyst and multipotent are the adult stem cells found in bone marrow or meristem cells in a plants cambium. thanks for identifying and letting me know 👍

i thought the embryos would be flushed out, not the eggs because once the egg is fertilised it forms a zygote and then it grows into an embryo and then it is flushed out to be implanted into the surrogates. also, could you explain what flushing really is?

The zygote wouldn’t implant into the uterus lining straight away, giving you the opportunity to flush out any fertilised eggs (preferred option) . Or you can get the eggs out to carry out IVF
