Lets go over how to properly break in your new or used Hellcat or Scatpack engines. All Dodge 6.2L & 6.4L hemi engines come with a detailed procedure in which to take once you drive your car off the lot. If you don't feel like the type to read a boring manual, just follow along here for a quick overview of what needs to take place during each stage in the break in process! There are some common misconceptions about this topic so I figured I would share my thoughts on the matter.

With you 100%, my scat pack, and Hellcat broke both cars in according to the manual.

Its gonna be hard to drive the car under 55mph when you have to take the freeway to commute when theres no street roads nearby

I can see how that would be an issue but I actually did keep my car doing 55mph on the freeway back home in the slow lane. I purchased the car a couple hours from where I live.

Personally I just got my first oil change after 6 months since I didn’t reach the 6,000 mi mark.

Lets say u drive it aggressive when its under 200 miles and something happens to the engine wont they still repair your car because u have a warranty because the car is still brand new 😊

Let’s say that is true. Well now your out a car that you probably still pay monthly for and are waiting for an engine replacement! That’s lost time that could be avoided. That is assuming they are nice enough to replace it without hassle.

@gilsgarageofficial well they have to I suppose because it's powertrain....you are right tho about not having a car because what if it's your only car.....you have to get ubbers and that's money u are throwing away....but at least they will fix your engine and it won't come out of your pocket
