I'm currently around 35k after around a year of playing. From my experience, what I will say is that you need to push acc and make sure you complete maps all the way to improve consistency. Like all people who make improvement videos, improvement is not linear, so it may take longer to achieve results than others. Just make sure to enjoy the game and you will naturally improve.

If you want to gain pp and ranks then this isn’t the way to go, i’ll try and give some tips as to how i improved. By increasing your skill you’ll automatically start gaining more ranks and pp, although i’m not entirely sure what tips i should give since i’m a mouse player. (Muscle memory and what you should do) : Try playing maps within your skill range or just outside your comfort zone, get your muscle memory working so you get used to higher paced maps, bigger jumps(you won’t learn this with 1-2 jumps, they’re basically useless if you wanna train skill) and try going for higher bpms(once again within your skill range) (Streaming and tapping) : From what i saw your tapping compared to your aim is very bad, so i would suggest you try and play some more maps that include anything from short bursts of 5 to maps with streams ranging from 7-10, try and figure at what bpm you feel comfortable and try increasing the amount of bpm you play over time when you feel like you’ve gotten used to the bpm you are at that time playing (i’d say increasing by increments of 5-10 is good) (Aim) : As for the jumping and aim part, don’t play 1-2 jump maps for that, try playing maps that have different patterns of jumps and that actually have variation in where you have to jump towards. And once you have a feeling like you have both under your belt and can do both almost equally, it’s time to play maps that include both. (Ranks and pp) : As for the ranks and pp, if you’ve done the previous tips and feel confident, you should’ve seen an increase in accuracy and the amount of combo you get. Both of these are the main factors of getting pp, a full combo 95% would be worth more than a 99% 1 miss. (Stamina) : Stamina is an important part for streaming and tapping ability as well, only thing i can say about this is try to play longer maps (maps that range from 1:30 up to 2:30 is what i’d say you should start at then once again climb your way up from there. (End) : Basically in short, work on your weak points, once you’ve done that start improving on your skills by playing within you skill range or just out of it, and basically, it all comes with the amount of time played so just play more. Anyways hope this helps, and as a part of the 5 digit community, we await your arrival.

it took me like 3-4 years to get to 55k and while it was a great achievement I will say it kinda sucks ngl lol once your skill cap improvement is so fucking hard so the one bit of advice I can give you is to just enjoy the game, yes it is fun to get better but if you just keep tying to go for pp and rank at some point your gonna get really stuck and hate the game for a while so just learn to enjoy the game while you can lol

I really enjoyed seeing some footage of someone a but lower in the ranks. Always watching high tanks play maps I could never understand is only so entertaining, but watching someone similar to my rank fuck up on something I can relate to is just some solid content in my opinion. i'm in the same boat! currently at #186k, was your rank around 2 months ago. best thing i've done is play longer maps to build up stamina, stream maps to help with acc, and always going for a good score (not fc) on songs with star difficulties above your comfort level. i was only really comfortable with 4 stars for a while, only played 5 star maps and when i went back the pp came flying. Now I can pass 6 star maps and I'm going for a 7 star! oh, also try your best to beat some iconic osu songs ( airman soundholic, remote control, shit like that) cause it really seems to test your skill and helps you feel real improvement that pp doesnt really show

awesome video! tip of advice: try using just one finger on most parts instead of alternating every single note. alternating is best for streams, but I find it a lot easier to do jumps and regular gameplay with just one finger. doing jumps with one finger will help you keep a steadier tempo during those parts. the finger that you're fastest with is gonna be your best bet, and that's different for everyone (for me it's my middle finger). Bro, best thing to keep in mine when playing osu is consistency. If you keep farming you will only get better at short farm maps. Try and warm up with a low AR map as this helps with your reading. When you get better and start to play AR 10 maps make sure you keep playing lower AR. Put 'Length>180' in osu search and get used to playing maps over 3 minutes. Then you will become a GOD!! This is a really helpful tip that could determine your osu carrier Play long maps with short streams and bursts for consistency rather than short pp optimized ones. Those are not worthwhile for you’re current level.

honestly this video kinda made me super happy. like nostalgia and it was just enjoyment instead of a rage compilation. man’s genuinely had fun while improving. reminds me on my goal to hitting 5 digit.

Its pretty cool to see how a new player looks at the game, if you are getting frustrated from farming don't feel bad to play some maps that you like more since, at this point, your top plays are probably going to change a lot and if you play some different maps that pushes other skillsets like focus a little on longer maps to get a little more consistency or maps that have a lot of bursts, when you do try to farm it is going to be much much easier Or if you actually like farming just keep doing it, at this point you will keep improving no matter what you play

For stream improvements, i found that some graveyard furioso melodia maps are really nice (i like the one with the red anime girl) and tower of heaven as well as sound chimera is also very demanding. If you really wanna farm pp, learn HDHR, its a literal goldmine. You can play 3.8 star maps, make them 4.2 with HR and get like 70 pp really easily even without hidden. For aim improvements, i personally recommend maps like c-type, gravity falls theme song, justadice, Kitsune no Yomeiri (graveyard), LegenD. (Loved), M@GIC (map has no sound, is ranked tho, so pure sightread), Paradiso=Inferno (really nice with HR, otherwise too slow), Rubik‘s Cube, T-T-Techno Have fun farming

Yooo, nice video dude. About the last part of the video ("how to improve"), maybe you should play some random beatmap packs. When you'll play a lot of maps: some new, some from 2015, some from 2012 etc. you'll improve reading and that will help you with your acc and aim.

You can try playing more finger control maps (there are a lot of them just search in osu forum). Also stream maps help a lot with accuracy (helped to me). P.S. I would recommend you play Raise My sword so you can actually get good in bursting.

So I am playing this game for almost 2 years now (rank 25k) and what I can give you for the future is, to push your accuracy and to get used to alternating, it will help you so much in the future, trust me. Finger control is also really important to hit the bursts and streams. Also try to practice your stamina on different stream or jump beatmaps and try to go for longer maps with over 1k combo. Also if you have difficulties in fc‘ing a map, just leave it for another day and play another one, retry-spamming isn‘t the way to go lol. Hey a tip for my fellow 6 digit racing up to 5 digit. Try warming up on 6-8 different style of maps before going pp farming it allows yourself to know which you're gonna be good or bad during the run. I choose like 2 jump maps at the start then 3-4 technical maps and then my last 3 are complex rhythm maps oh and also before ending your pp farming session play 1 3-5 min song that's above your skill level to atleast have a strain session before repeating the cycle. I am rank 231k rn from doing this for 2 months my highest pass on a star is now 5.2* im just having trouble with jumps which im getting drastically good at also nc vid would want to watch more. :^D

I liked the video, it was cool. In terms of tips, I kind of see myself in your plays. Like that first song, it seems like you haven't built up control for it yet. You were tapping too quickly on the more difficult patterns. For me, when I started playing more 5 star maps, the speed of these songs feels so much slower that I kind of naturally slowed myself down and hit the notes in a more controlled way. In terms of advice, try playing maps that are just a little harder than you can handle, and try playing those songs. As you get better at handling them, then try these farm maps and you'll see that they start to feel slower and easier. For me, I just figured out that farming is a thing. I just played songs I liked (mostly anime openings so I was basically farming on accident) and I always just played harder and harder maps. I am somewhere in the 170-180k area and I just started working on low 6 star maps, but thank you for this video. I didn't know about that website, and I just farmed a little over 100 PP because of it.

So I am 6 digit too, basically what I figured out is that my rank is not gonna go up if I don’t level up in skill, so I started this system of playing the same map for 5 times in a row and try to FC it and if not then just move on and try some other map, 5 tries and move on and likewise keep circulating between a lot of maps, so you never get comfortable with maps and then find it harder to try another maps. Also if I find myself shit missing (missing on parts that I could play easily before I take a break off of the game and do something else so that I can get rid of the mindblock. Another trick can be too play multiplayer lobbies, so the competitive nature makes you try harder and also give you lots of different maps one after the other so you try different skills each time and new patterns emerge with each and every map.

as a fellow 6 digit i got some tips, - keep improving your scores like that yuima 94% to a 99% - try to play other maps like tech maps or stream maps to get better at fast maps, bursts and streams - download more maps so that you dont get stuck with just farm maps - check where you stand in terms of star difficulty - play more in general

a good way to improve (for me at least) is to warm up by doing some confortable maps first then directly going to maps above my skill cap and going back to maps slightly above my skill cap i feel like i perform better when i do this type of session (around 1-2 hours max you don't want to put too much strain on your hands) Hope this helps

Improving in skill over placement is extremely important! If you get better at the game that means you can play harder maps and make better plays. To me, based on the maps you were playing it would be a good idea for you to try playing some longer maps to help with consistency and to get used to holding higher combos. Generally, the idea of playing more can work but, playing smart is the best thing you can do. If you find a skill you want to improve at push it, play maps at your level for that skill, and then try some that are above. Pushing yourself is something that can bring you a long way in osu! but don't overdo it as I did at the start, that ruined my consistency and I couldn't do 4* maps for a while because my consistency, aim, and finger control just was not good enough lmao. We hope to see you improving, and keep having fun clicking circles!

Pay attention to your error bar at the bottom and your unstable rate at the end of your play to improve accuracy. Also if I find I start gaining less pp, I like to take a 2-3 day break and I'm usually setting better scores when I hop back on. For farming, I found a good way is to look at the top plays of players who are ranked slightly higher than you and try to replicate them. GL on your journey ;)

Sometimes you should finish the map even if you miss. Finishing the map will put you in a better mental state if you're stressed making it easier to FC

He's becoming a farmer from the get go 😔 At your rank i would recommend just enjoying the game, but if you want to increase your rank with pp maps just work on accuracy and speed and you'd be pretty much set even tho i don't recommend it man

I'm around the same ranking as you and the main thing I've been doing is alternating between attempting 5* maps, working on improving my speed and accuracy, and using tillerino bot to get maps that i can fc, playing them for a bit, and if I don't manage to fc them I save them to a collection and will go back and try and to fc them later as I find that sticking to one map can make you mind blocked and unable to make any progress on it so it's best to switch which map you are playing when you feel you're stuck on a certain part

Trying a level many times or playing too much can be good or bad, for example I spend almost a month without farming and take a break, when I return I spent 4 days in a row doing good top plays with mods. In short, when you feel like you're not advanced or very frustrated, take a break :)

I don't know if this helps any but id recommend to play through each song without retrying. I'd also find a easy rhythm map around your skill range and practice getting good acc. Once you do that start expanding into slightly more rhythmically challenging maps.

one option is lots and lots of HDDT ringtones in the high 4 star range if you want to be the filthiest 6 digit farmer of them all, and then further into 5 star range if you want to cross that barrier into 5 digit territory

Look... You should play nomod normal lenght maps until you are like 100-150k. Than you can start farming. I'm rank 11k and i started farming at rank 100k and it worked pretty well for me. Just keep focusing on playing for fun and setting yourself 5/6/7 start passes and you will get better.

My advice is try to pass maps that is slightly above your comfort zone to increase your skill cap a bit. This will allow you to fc maps a little easier by having some confidence boost. Also acc is not important until you reach around 100k imo.
