Hiking in the Alps of Austria. After extensive research in hiking apps and travel blogs, we chose these 6 trails as the best day hikes in the Austrian Alps, which fits well for a road trip format. From family-friendly lakeside walks to almost alpine trekking adventures, this list includes hiking trails for hikers of all levels of experience. We also mention where road tolls and entrance fees are to be paid, to make this video as much of a Austrian hiking and travel guide as possible. This video includes also some travel tips and where to park your car at the trailheads, and showcases the best hiking trails to see the wild and naked nature of Austria.

What an amazing video it is. i'm planning to visit Austria this November and wanted check out Olpererhütte, that's how i found your youtube channel. Unfortunately i just figured out that the cabin starts to hibernate from Oct to ,.,not sure this part. Anyway your video is just full of stunning view and spots. Thank you! I appreciate your comment. The hike to the Olperer Hut is so beautiful that you'll enjoy it even if the hut is closed. You can even do a loop, continuing after the bridge and going down the other side (where you will pass another hut) until you reach the glacier lake again. Have fun! 🙂

5:41 You can drive around this toll street. But it is bumpy, narrow and very steep. I drive there always but be prepared for a though ride.
