How is it in terms of sound quality? Can it be compared to something I know, like HELIX P SIX DSP MK2? Which connection method can be used with android multimedia? It is important that the sound is not processed from android. How to connect then? By bluetooth? No optics? With fiber optics seems to be a numerical signal as far as I know. Thank you.

With the BT24 module would it be possible to have a headless set up by just streaming from say Spotify/Apple Music straight to the d6.1200 and using the adjustment level as a volume knob or is there no option to adjust volume with the level? Are there limitations to what can be streamed to the module?

This D-series amp are great, but a nice feature to add to the computer software would have been a optionnal USB microphone for accoustic RTA and an auto-eq/auto time aligment feature using the software. Please AudioControl, tell us this is comming in a future release! Nothing prevent this feature to exist as everything is done through the software and not the amp.

Simple question. Channels 1-2 I just need a HP filter probably about 3500hz HP give or take playing around with it for my audiofrog 3 way active setup. My plan for my active setup will be tweeters - Audiofrog GB10 1" tweeters (thinking 3500 and up hp) Midrange - audiofrog gb40 4" midrange ( thinking maybe 500-3500 just have to play around) midbass - audiofrog gb60 6" midbass ( 80-500hz) SO my question is this, do channels 3-4 and 5-6 have the ability for bandpass crossovers because that will be key for my setup?

If I were to use the 6 rca outs in my kenwood dnr 1007xr , what would I do with the speaker wires? Just leave them un hooked?

How do you connect 2 dash speakers and 2 front doors speakers and 2 back doors speakers and a subwoofer to this thing. I am considering getting one. But i have 6 speakers and subwoofer ?? Where to connect them to this device??

Depends on the speakers and how you'd like to configure it, but ideally, you would run the two dash speakers off of 2ch, the two front doors off of 2ch, the rears off of 2ch, and then use the RCA pre-out to run to your separate sub amplifier. If you want to power your subwoofer from the 6ch you can, but you'd need to combine some of the other speakers together 2ch channels. So real quick can I tune each of the six channels individual? Right now I’m running to Jl Audio G 6600 6 channel but it still only has three adjustments on it which all defeats the purpose of having six channels basically all it has is three channels with six Spots to put speaker wires.

Yes! The DM-SmartDSP software, which is used to setup, control and tune the D-6.1200 amplifier, can control and tune each pair of outputs separately, as well as being able to control the non-amplified 2ch RCA outputs, too. With a 6ch DSP amplifier, there's really not much you cannot do!

My car has 4 stock speakers in the doors. I want to cancel the OEM speakers and put 1 woofer 1 mid range and 1 tweeter in each door, so there will be a total of 12 speakers. Will this DSP be enough to run the system? If so, how to conncet the 12 speaker into the 6 channels? If not, what should I do? Thanks

You have a few options, but you could certainly run your desired speaker configuration from the D-6.1200 amplifier. You would essentially run all 4x tweeters to 2ch, all 4x midranges to 2ch, and all 4x mid bass drivers to 2ch. In this configuration, you'd be running all 12 speakers off of the 6ch amplifier. The only downside to a setup like this is the inability to fade the sound from the front to the rear. If this is important to you, then we would recommend running multiple amplifiers with a standalone DSP, like our DM-810.

Hey mark! I have a 10w3 sub woofer powered by helix m one mono . Upfront I have a pair of component blam 165 rsq speakers powered by an audison 4.9bit dsp . It’s not loud enough and not enough clarity of intstruments. What would you recommend for new speakers and amp? Is a 6 channel overkill to power the front four speakers, and have the passenger speakers run off head unit?

Having a hard time deciding if I wanna use this amp to run my Hertz MLK 1650.3 legend 3 way active set up ... I’m running a Audison BIT 10-D with a JL slash V2 , 450/4 Amp right now . I need 2 more channels of Amplifier and DSP before I can install my 3” Mid driver to my set up . I’m not worried about running my two 10” subs off a DSP , I’ll use my head unit for that .

You will need to choose where your input signal comes from for each pair of outputs. If this isn’t done in the software, you’ll get undesirable results. For more help, feel free to give us a call at (425)775-8461

This amp is really good.. But it has a big issue with the optional BT24 Bluetooth module that create an annoying high pitch noise in the speakers... I'm trying to reach AudioControl about this issue since a few weeks and they do not reply to my request. Audiocontrol, I'm not bashing you product but I would like a way to resolve this noise issue that ruin my system. Please help!

Hello, thanks for the great video. Unfortunately the process to setup gain all the way through the chain is not really clear... (whatever in this vid or in the product doc or on audio control website.knowledge base). step 1 Input view gain a 0db I guess? then increase HU volume until MILC kicks on, decrease a bit and we have our HU max vol . That is ok step 2 Here is where things are more confused, are the output level from the output view equivalent as real gain knob ? if so why their max are at 0DB? to me it is just for leveling by reducing gain so ? does that mean by default the 0db setup correspond to the maximum gain ? If so we should set them up all the way down before step 1 (as they are 0DB by default)? What is the parameter to consider to setup the gain for each output (I'm using 3 way active front + 1 output preamp for sub amp) and then check the maximized ouput LED ? Any help will be much appreciated and I think useful for others. cheers

With more and more cars coming with 8+ speakers 6ch DSPs are going to be worthless and don't even get me started on cars with a Bose system some of the Bose systems are programmed only to work with their speakers and if you try to connect anything else it'll shut down the factory amplifier/s

This is why we offer separate DSP's with 8ch inputs and 10ch of output. The 6ch amplifiers are great for lots of applications, but obviously not EVERY application. Also, even our 6ch amplifiers employ 8ch of hi level input, making them even more compatible with OEM multi channel systems. Also, ALL of our products can handle signals from factory amplified systems, such as BOSE. We even went so far as to create a line of products called the AC-LGD's to help manage the issues than can arise when factory speakers are disconnected from some systems. Don't ever let an OEM system stop you from making your vehicle sound great.

Why would you need 8+ inputs and outputs? Unless you’re trying to run a surround sound in your car. 6 channels you can hook up 2 speakers to each channel for a total of 12 and still have rms left over. Those cheap factory amp don’t even have more than 50 rms per channel. This one has at the very lease 125 rms per channel. You could prob run 3 mid grade speakers in each channel.
