You were right, Joe! I'm 100% sure that is a buck (male) rainbow trout in spawning colors. The hooked jaw is also developed during spawn season. Beauty fish!

Me and a buddy were out on a backwoods hunting/camping trip in New Mexico about 2 months ago and we had steak one night. Steak just tastes better in the backwoods. Also got 10” of snow as well. Big surprise for this southern dude waking up in my hammock and seeing almost a foot of snow on the ground. This video brought back some good memories.

Far from a trout expert but I'd guess that was a cutthroat...the pink on he gill plate looked like a cut and the meat was much more pink than a rainbow cutthroat meat looks an tastes a lot more like salmon than a rainbow does

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Shawn Kelly fired the first shots in all of this, he asked for collab ideas, someone suggested Joe and he said no, someone else asked why, and he made comments about not doing videos with entertainers, since then it has spiralled, veiled references to youtubers not being able to class a basic class at the pathfinder school, drinking beers in the woods, comments on Josh Enyarts photo Josh and his dog with the commet "crack open an IPA and there's a million subs" hes actively promoting the huntsmans channel to stoke this further, I watch both Corporals Corner and Joes vids and i have a lot of time and respect for both guys, I've learnt lots off both of them, Joe was out of order saying what he did and should definitely apologise to Shawn Kelly. The whole thing is stupid and has gotten way out of hand, do these guys not realise that young children watch their vids and will think this sort of behavior is acceptable because their role models are doing it?? A line needs to be drawn under the whole thing and both parties need to apologise to each other. Also the huntsman needs to stop with the personal attacks on Joes family because thats a whole different level of wrong. Who is he anyway? last point, these guys have sponsors and affiliates, how long before they say enough and drop their respective parties quicker than a live grenade?

I could be wrong, but i believe joe’s trout he kept was actually a salmon. Any rainbow trout ive ever seen was way lighter colored more silver. That redness to the fish’s color and the jawline makes me 90% sure its salmon

Joe I found you when the lock down started here in Pennsylvania USA. I loved your sense of humor, you love for the outdoors and your a family man. I’ve noticed now for some time your numbers were declining but didn’t care I stilled watched and waited for your videos. However, when you attach others and accuse them of stolen valor without proof that’s just wrong. I got rid of every social media platform due to these major media companies and major news companies spewing communism, forcing others off social media simple because of opposing opinion is and pushing just propaganda is just WRONG! So I only watch my pod casts and follow those here on Y-Tube that bring joy, peace and love for the outdoors. When I found out today what’s been going on behind scenes with you and so many of you followers attaching a good man and accusing him of “STOLEN VALOR” is just WRONG! My family has served in almost all branches of the service and there is two things that is absolutely terrible to do and say. One is to say they were in the military and WASN’T! Two to have served and have someone accuse you so “stolen Valor”! Joe be a man and apologize. You have crossed the line and something I didn’t think you were capable of. I though if you as a better man than that. You lost a subscriber sadly. I wish you and your family well 😔😞 for those that have not heard or understand what’s going on search “Huntsman”. He shows you “The Corporal’s” credentials 😒

I think you need to set the record straight

Have you considered packing a hammock kit for those times where you can't find flat pads, but have plenty of trees? Hammock camping is the cat's knees. Also, the bee's pajamas.
