I just loved the covered books!!!! I’m 61 and yes we covered all our school books. You are so creative in everything you do! I was a Flight Attendant for 20 years and you would have made a great one!!! Have a beautiful day! Your tree is gorgeous!

Your tree is a redbud. I live on some acreage and I have hundreds of redbuds as well as other flowering trees this time of year. Those amoung the pale green of the new leaves on the other trees make It looks like a beautiful fairy land. I love all of your crafts, so beautiful as usual! I just painted three books in the chalk paint from Walmart in the color Pool last night. Then tied a white satin ribbon around them with a simple bow and finished it off with some white roses. I put them on a white doily on a white bed tray It's absolutely beautiful. Then I get up this morning and looked to see what's new on KZfaq and there you are working your magic with books. Yes! We covered our school books with brown paper bags from the grocers. They were awesome to draw on ! My granddaughter & her friends all cover their school books the same way. It's not in the past as long as brown paper grocery bags exist. I hardly ever get plastic bags since they're so bad for our environment so I use homemade cloth shopping bags.. but I admit there are times I'll have my groceries loaded into brown paper bags specifically to have that wonderfully heavy brown paper to use for projects. We have a 4 season patio we covered the floor with brown paper bags & sealed years ago that's still a showstopper.

These are fabulous. The umbrella is so creative, but since glitter makes my heart sing, that was my favorite. Well, maybe the books were my favorite - I have a set of 3 books I had covered with different fabric scraps that I like, but seeing you use the paper doilies on the books has inspired me. I think I will add some old cloth doilies that my husband's grandmother hand crocheted but haven't known what to do with! Hope they look as good as yours when they are finished. Olivia, just LOVE your French decor ideas. I am addicted to all things that are French inspired. I have a couple of thrift store picnic baskets and can't wait to paint them and use them for storing my French decor magazines in them. I also love the sparkling jar, I have a stencil with fleur de lisse and think I will use your idea and stencil the front of a glass vase for some silk flowers. You always have such gorgeous ideas. Everything is so beautiful. I love how you reused the candle jar. Recycling at its finest. Yes, I used brown paper bags for book covers. Back in the '60s, out was our only choice - lol. Companies didn't manufacture them. I enjoyed decorating them to make them my own.

Good morning Olivia, I love all the crafts but my favorite is the glass vase with the glitter it's so pretty, I was thinking maybe I could do glitter on the outside for one of them so I can put a candle in it. When you started rapping those books in paper that's exactly where my mind went right back to school I remember my friends and I would always do that with our books and doodle on them, fun memories. Beautiful. Yes, I wrapped my books in brown bags when we were little. I loved it at the beginning of the year when we would get out new text books and school novels and we would wrap them then decorate them with pencil crayons. They looked so nice and really protected the books.

OMGGGGGG yassss we always used those brown paper bags to cover our books so we could decorate them!!! Lol man, I wish grocery stores still used those {especially the kind with the little handles on the top... I know a couple of stores still use them} But you don't seem old enough to remember using those for book covers. Lol

I miss these gorgeous glam NON MODERN FARMHOUSE DIYS! I am not hating on the modern farmhouse-I actually live in one-a REAL ONE! I mean yellow exterior with huge porches, a massive cedar fireplace with the knotty pine from floor to ceiling in some rooms (especially the great room) and massive cedar beams across the vaulted ceiling...the knotty pine doors on every room inside, etcetera. I just miss the glam DIYs!!! This is SO GORGEOUS

I just found this video. I missed it someway because I've followed your channels/vidoes but somehow I missed this one. I think everything you did turned out over the top (AS USUAL). As I've told you before, you are fillled with creativity, unlike many others. I loved your embrella. It adds so much to your french inspired seledtion. I visit my local Goodwill every day off. Two carts came out one had a large serving tray like the one you used to display all your beautiful Paris crafts and I purchased it. I Can’t wait to make it beautiful and display some crafts. I love pastel sparkles so of course I have the pink glitter. I love the pink sparkly jar. Your trees are called RED BUD TREES. Olivia, they are one of my favorites as well. Beautiful Paris video. Would live to know which magazines you were in. That's really neat, way to GO beautiful lady. Loving all these country chic diy's. Love the framed card. This gives me an idea to use some floral gift bags I recently purchased from T.J. Maxx. I used one to make a tray and I can use the leftover bag put inside a frame and add DT's floral stickers and ribbons. Keep sharing your beautiful ideas with us.💗

Where do I begin, every one of these are so gorgeous. You have such a beautiful imagination . That basket is so French looking & also very high-end. I love how happy & positive you always are. I always feel better when I watch you even when I think I feel ok, you make me happier! We did cover our books with brown paper & my grandma & mom would wrap Christmas gifts with it also. When I became an adult I did the same one Christmas with brown paper & a pretty ribbon only because I was so bored with the typical Christmas wrapping paper! Keep the videos coming Miss Olivia!😘

Covering books! That brought back memories long forgotten. We were required to cover school books. I bought several DT books to paint but I love the idea of book covers. In Georgia we call those beautiful trees Red Bud. Love this decor ~ "Paris is always a good idea".

I love your glittery jar! Especially when you paired it with that fabulous rose. I am really enjoying the different textures of your books, the rustic feel of the brown paper and jute along with the delicate doilies and the satin ribbon. Your birthday card art piece is perfection. The tree in your video is a Redbud. We have one in our side yard. A few years ago the beavers came up from the creek and gnawed it off. It came back, though :) I constructed a fence around it so they don't eat it again.

I love that lavender/pink tree! My Mom would have known, she used to get excised with spring blooms. Unfortunately Mom passed away on April 2nd right as trees were starting to bloom! Never thought we wouldn't have her for Easter 😢 I always want to make craft items for her, in her room at the Nursing home/Rehab. Now I feel so lost 😢. When I go shopping which is rare because I am in a wheelchair. But I can drive the scooders in Target and Wal-Mart! But when I shop I see things for my Mom all the time.

Good morning Olivia. Love the diys and wanted to share this information I found out about painting and glittering glass. When you make something like you did with your pink jar you can actually put it in a cold oven turn it on to 350 and bake it it for 20 to 30 minutes then let it cool down in the oven and it really sets the glitter. Dont put it in a warm oven it will break.

When Christmas rolls around you should get the large plastic candy canes that have candy in them to use as your umbrella handle. I definitely remember covering my books in school. We used white craft or butcher paper so we could decorate and personalize them. I really like the doilies you added to the book covers. I love using vintage items to store items in. I have vintage luggage and steamer trunks and hat boxes that I’ve repurposed. Looks great! Thanks
