Just grabbed a monopod… needed more stability in cramped lab spaces without going to a gimbal (which I have, but want more control over focus/zoom). Started looking for different creative shots, and I think I’ll be practicing these today!!

@@JosephValenti I can see why… it really unlocks a lot of artistic potential in your film making without breaking the bank! I have a couple weeks to practice with it before I’m back into filming in the new year. Time to annoy the family 😁

No, not yet. I do videography for a University - I've been trying to find ways to bring the viewer in to the research that we do while not actually drawing attention to my camera work! I do lots of shoots in labs and such, and usually I'm in a time crunch. I have an RS3, but find that I need more immediate control over the zoom and focus... I have a feeling the monopod will give me way more control while maintaining that stability!@@JosephValenti

Great Video ! Quick question tho, would a cheap steadicam be better than a monopod ? I'll be using the canon nifty fifty so no stabalization :/

Honesstly I can’t get over how stable my footage is on a good mono pod. I absolutely love it. But a nifty 50 should be pretty light which would make balancing a gimbal pretty easy to get a cheap gimbal
