This flower consists of 3 layers of petals, the bottom layer of petals includes 7 small petals, the second layer of small petals includes 5 small petals and the top layer of petals includes 4 small petals.
To make each small petals, use quilling strips with a length equal to the length of A4 sheet and a width of 3 mm. You use a comb with moderate tooth spacing (the tooth spacing will create space between the strips in the small petals).
First, you use the strip to roll 8 comb teeth (minute 00:23), then apply milk glue on the strip at the bottom comb tooth and roll the strip up to the 9th comb tooth, continue doing like that until you run out of quilling strip. You add a second quilling strip and continue to do so until you reach the 15th comb tooth (The number of comb teeth will depend on how many small strips you want the petal to have on both sides, 15 comb teeth is equivalent to 8 small strips at each side of the small petal when you use tweezers to fix the tip of the petal).
Then you take the finished quilling strips out of the comb and use milk glue to apply it to the space between the strips (minute 1:54), then use your hand to press down so the glue sticks together (minute 1:58), then you use tweezers to bend the small petal into a heart shape and adjust the distance between the strips at each side of the small petal for balance (minute 2:02).
Then you glue the 7 small petals of the bottom petal layer together (minute 2:49), then glue the 5 small petals in the second petal layer together (minute 3:00).
The technique of small petals at the top petal layer is similar to making small petals of the bottom petal layer, however the number of comb teeth to initially roll the quilling strip is 6 comb teeth (minute 3:41) and continue to roll until the thirdteen comb tooth (equivalent to 8 small strips at each side of the small petals when you use tweezers to fix the tip of the petal). You make 4 small petals of the top small petal layer and glue them together (minute 5:50).
Finally, you use a quilling strip to roll and put it in the middle of the flower to form the pistil.

Sau đó bạn lấy phần sợi quilling đã cuốn xong ra khỏi lược và dùng keo sữa bôi vào khoảng cách giữa các sợi (phút 1:54), tiếp theo dùng tay ấn xuống để keo dính vào nhau (phút 1:58), tiếp đó dùng nhíp uốn cánh hoa nhỏ thành hình trái tim và căn chỉnh lại khoảng cách giữa các sợi mỗi bên của cánh nhỏ cho cân bằng (phút 2:02).
Sau đó bạn dán 7 cánh nhỏ ở lớp cánh dưới cùng vào nhau (phút 2:49), sau đó dán 5 cánh nhỏ ở lớp cánh thứ hai vào nhau (3:00)
Lớp cánh nhỏ trên cùng, kỹ thuật tương tự như làm cánh nhỏ của lớp dưới cùng, tuy nhiên số răng lược để sợi quilling cuốn ban đầu là 6 răng lược (phút 3:41) và tiếp tục cuốn thêm cho đến răng lược thứ 13 (tương đương với 8 sợi nhỏ mỗi bên của cánh hoa nhỏ khi bạn dùng nhíp cố định phần đầu của cánh hoa lại). Bạn làm 4 cánh hoa nhỏ của lớp cánh nhỏ trên cùng và dán chúng vào nhau (phút 5:50).
Cuối cùng bạn dùng 1 sợi quilling để cuốn tròn và dán nó ở giữa bông hoa để tạo thành nhụy hoa.
