I used to have it on as background ‘noise’ if I was up in the middle of the night and didn’t want to wake anyone up. It was always on in those wee hours of the early morning/middle of the night

While all of these are indeed words, the way they are arranged do not make enough sense for me to make out what it is you’re trying to say. The beginning part I get enough, but the end of your post just veers off into nonsense land. Perhaps it’s just me, I’m not sure. Maybe you, or someone else can interpret for me?
