I can imagine parent’s of the opposing team asking for his birth certificate. 😂
@chandlercarroll32422 жыл бұрын
One time this team in my little league had some kids quit mid season so the coach called up some of his sons friends from another town & managed to get the league to allow them to join. One threw a no hitter against my team (I reached base on a strikeout to be the only base runner in the game), true story and the kids were both much larger than anyone (I was 6’0” at 14 & these kids were larger than me in a 14u league)! When the kid took the mound my dad yelled out that we should protest the game until we got his birth certificate because he looked 18! & then during the game my dad said he saw that kid buying cigarettes down the street before the game & the umpire stopped the game to tell my dad to stop the comments or he’d be removed from the park. 🤦🏻♂️😂 honestly wouldn’t have been the first time he was removed from a park by an umpire.
@PaulAnthonyBaseball2 жыл бұрын
Wow. What a story. They should have gotten birth certificates before those kids stepped on the field. USSSA keeps birth certificates for every single kid on each team on file. It’s really hard to get away with that nowadays with the technology we have. Having said that the other teams do ask for his birth certificate from time to time. His parents have it on hand each & every tournament.

@chandlercarroll32422 жыл бұрын
Yea this is just a case of a big kid that’s not great. He hits far but he’s playing low end competition, if they play him up then he’d become mediocre & his parents probably enjoy him dominating his classmates and playing with his friends instead of struggling against random older kids who have more experience. Playing up would be cool but it doesn’t always work out, one of my best friends growing up dominated our league every season. I batted in front of him & the parents would chant, “Chan Chan he’s our man and if he can’t do it C.J. Can!” So they’d literally be chanting for my buddy to go yard while I was batting. 🤣 but his parents were told to play him up because EVERYONE said he’s a beast and needed better competition and he had hit a bomb off our towns older kids all star team when we scrimmaged the season before, but when they moved him up it just killed his confidence in the sport so he dropped it in high school to focus on being the quarterback (his nickname in football was video game because it was so easy for him it looked like he was playing games.) had he stayed in our age group I think he would’ve developed more & made it to college ball easily. Some people are ready for the next level early, & some are just at the top of the level they’re at. There’s a difference, you can be good at medium but that doesn’t mean you’re ready to beat hard mode.

Unless he keeps growing and stays head and shoulders above every other player every year it's only a matter of time till the playing field is leveled. All that size doesn't do you a favor when the ball is being thrown 90 mph. Larger strike zone for a pitcher and more area the batter must cover in miliseconds. Still very lifted athlete in the making from the looks of things
