I just install trail valving. Makes the bike work great for rocky technical riding fast or slow. And It didn't cost me anywhere close to 6 grand for Heaven sake Kyle. But if someone wants to spend 6 grand then foolish power to them.

If you got the money, go for it. I have the same setup on my 22 xcw. Revalves on stock equipment are good. But when you have the "oh shit" moments in the rocks, the 4 grand extra you spend really shines

I just pull off the swing arm, usually good time to grease it up anyway. If going to be putting premium shock on the bike might as well make sure all the linkage is clean and fresh to get the most out of it.

I've ridden a few set ups with cone valve, but I still prefer the KYB stuff. A set of Technical Touch inserts valved for my size and speed along with valving and re springing the stock shock made all the difference in the world on my 23 250XC. I know some folks like the air forks, I hate them. Leave those on the GG line and put cones or the new 6500 inserts in the KTM/Husq models.

Lift the Forks 7.5mm (3rings show out) is same effect on trail as going from 22mm fork offset to 24mm and vice versa. Makes better handling but less stable. The effect is based on the change in front wheel trail. Best regards!

It saddens me that so many think dropping several thousand dollars to get the suspension on a brand new bike to work well is somehow ok. How about the manufacturer actually equip the bike with something that works decent, not necessarily great, straight from the factory? I'll never understand how you KTM owners just accept this.

I have a 23 Husqvarna tx300 I love the stiffer frame and suspension. I weigh 220 lb and I like the stiffer frame and suspension.

Have the dal saggio suspension upgrade worth it for a weekend warrior.

Tip for content. Buy a used bike. And try to make it as good as possible and then compare it to the newer bikes you get. Because most of us won’t be upgrading every year so for you to be able to compare it for us would be great.

Next time Kyle, try just removing the pipe and silencer and then the shock will come out the top. Easy!!!

My next bike will be blue , I would never spend this much on suspension upgrade. KTM needs to up it up stockwise

I put Lucky's (from Slaven's) on the front, and an MXTech National on the back, of my '21 TE300, a set of WP6500s on the front and another National shock (both from Corey at ProTune), on my '18 FE501. Yes, they are a lot of money, but less than the $6k thumbnail of this video ($3k for the 300 -bought the shock used, and about $4k for the 501), and I also plan to use them on several bikes. The risk here is that they may not fit on the next generation of bike that I buy. Regardless, both bikes work VERY well and I think that the money is well spent. I have never ridden the cone valve forks, or traxx shock so I can't make a comparison to those, but both of my suspension set up (both are for different applications) are better than any other modified suspension that I have purchased, or even ridden (on other's bikes) previously. I look forward to seeing how you like your set-up. IMO modifying the suspension, and also ergonomics, are the best dollar value one can get on your bike.

Kyle, now that you have ridden the new closed cartridge forks on the 24 models would you purchase this premium pro components again? I did and now that I’ve ridden a 24 I wouldn’t consider spending that money on pro components.

If your in 1st or 2nd gear most of the time id think you wouldnt need a 6k suspension set up but if you got the $$ go for it

Great video Kyle! 🙌 I was just wondering what was the problem of revalving the stock suspensions? At the end of the video you said something absolutely correct, which is that the valving is key to be able to have the suspensions dialed. However changing to premium/other suspensions won't make them automatically plusher or more comfortable if the revalve isn't the right one. Unfortunately that is a myth that is kept alive that makes a lot of people spend money they don't need. A proper adjustment/revalve of many stock suspensions is what most people need, not new suspensions. 😅 Just to clarify another point, the Cone Valve is probably the least suited feature for slower riding. It's an unbelievably technology for guys giving it the beans and bashing at stuff at great speeds. 💪 And yet another point, the premium PRO components are definitely the choice for someone...well, pro. The quality control and designs chosen are needed to allow the shock/forks keep their highest level of performance no matter the beating they get. That's what you get with the PRO line, but - like you said - if the valving is off, you can have gold platted suspensions that you won't get better at it in any way 👌 If you want to know more about it, I have a video dedicated to the Cone Valve and the Supertrax system is coming out in the next couple of weeks! 😄

So if u are changing your linkage on your bike too lower it an inch how much do u have to put your forks up on the triple trees!!!Anyone???...

Should do MX Tech suspension review instead of that. At least the Raven forks which would be better then those.

If you'd rather ride a slightly easier trail, or slightly slower, you're a wimp. If you spend $6K to make the same trail slightly easier, or give you slightly more speed, you're a local hero.

WP cone valve fork and Trax shock are a waste of money. I have them and in order to make them work well you take the cones out and install a conventional valve. Virtually every pro using cone valve forks doesn’t have cones in the fork anymore.

Come on man, SAG must be adjusted by spring rate with all clickers out, not compressoin!

you know what? KTM is bullshit ..15k for a bike with tier 2 suspension. the yamaha is far superior..and just as good as your upgraded suspension..gimme my yz any day..there is a reason why you see yz 250 smokers at the pro outdoor nationals and no ktms smokers

WP, easily the worst suspension brand ever. There are chinese KYB copies that works better out of the box. You buy a +$12000 bike and need to rebuild it for $2000 just to get the bike to work properly. WP/KTM/HVA/GG should be ashamed for all those years with crappy suspension.
