Hey! This is a bit controversial video cause Cambridge will never admit this, but i have read lots of information about it and my tutor during A-LEVEL also was telling me staff related to "smart "applying/playing the system.

Просьба к поступающим: в до 19-ого сентября написать тут в комментах или в директ в инстаграме ВОПРОСЫ ПО ПОСТУПЛЕНИЮ. Идей меня для видео полно, а времени - нет. Подхожу очень ответственно и организованно к структуризации видео, поэтому т.к. сейчас многие будут поступать, хочу сделать Q&A по образованию з/г. The contents quite good, but you should stop the constant cuts, it makes listening to you very annoying

Wow. I had no idea you did KZfaq too! hahah! I totally agree with you about people getting around the system - it's what frustrated me the most about my A Levels, that my actual passion meant nothing unless I learnt what they wanted me to spit out.

I'm just a couple of days away from sending in my M.Phil in Archaeological Science application, was filling up my Cambridge Trust Statement and your content showed up, had to honestly admit it for sure did cheer me up. Please keep up the good work, hope I get in.

I am in 6th grade and my english teacher asked me about Cambridge. I am from Romania , and I am mad about Cambridge. My parents say it is too expensive , and it is true , because we can't really afford things. But I still have hope that I will have the chance to study there. I am one of the best students in my school . I really really want to get there , any tips for the future?

What college or extracurriculars do you recommend me if I'm from Peru, I couldn't study A-Levels and I want to study engineering. (I was thinking about Downing, do you think I'll have a chance?)

Эвелина, я интересуюсь английской системой обучения, т.к. она имеет особую уникальность и точно отличается от российской. Помоги понять это различие. Например, мой МГУ делится на факультеты, факультеты на кафедры, кафедры на группы; преподаватели(ведущие лекции, семинары, коллоквиумы) обязаны иметь ученые степени(доктор, кандидат, ...). А как это организовано в Кембридже? Например, система тьютерства(англичане молодцы, что придумали). Далее, сколько у вас человек в группе? Сколько часов уходит на лекции и практические занятия? Как-нибудь фиксируются результаты успеваемости? И т.д. ... Это может стать интересной темой твоего нового блога. Спасибо.

This worked for you, but it is not what my daughter did to get in. She was in France, had a passion for archaeology (which she pursued on her own), and worked extremely hard. Sure, she read a book about how to get in when she was 11, but she did none of this cynical strategizing. She knew her stuff, had the academic credentials (just a French BAC), and after they asked for an extra essay, got an offer. It was the perfect place for her. Everyone has their own way and no one is entitled to get in.

Is it true that getting into the Cambridge is really hard and you have to be a very good student?? Otherwise they won't accept you?

Blissful Moonbeam firstly what year are you in and are you studying in the UK? Admissions (for all unis) tend to make more sense after year 11 having got your GCSEs and starting your A levels (unlikely to get into Cambridge with BTECs as all Cambridge courses are exam focussed). You won’t need perfect GCSEs to get in but obviously doing better helps back up your application. As for being a “very good student”, that depends on what your impression of that is. I can (almost) guarantee your schools impression of good student isn’t what will get you in. Diligence and trying your hardest, whilst important, isn’t all they look for. A passion and genuine interest (as well as other factors concerning your fit for the course) is far more important; so focus on that through extra reading and pushing yourself. So long as your school recognises your ability, will write you a good reference and will give you good predicted grades that’s it. There’s nothing more they can give/ do to aid your application. But if by good student you meant excelling past expectation (this doesn’t mean broadcasting it to the class/ teacher) and exploring interests more than required by the syllabus, then yes.

It's true that getting in to Cambridge is hard but its not impossible.
