Highly Urbanized Cities are cities classified as Primary Key Cities with criterias from National Competitiveness Council with at least 200,000 inhabitants certified by the Philippine Statistics Authority and a minimum annual income of ₱50 Million. In this 33 Cities 16 are from NCR, 5 from Luzon (excluding NCR) 6 from Visayas and 6 from Mindanao.
In this Video presentation the Six Highly Urbanized Cities in Mindanao is in focus:
1. Davao City
2. Cagayan de Oro city
3. General Santos City
4. Zamboanga City
5. Butuan City
6. Iligan City
IN total there are 33 Chartered Cities in the entire Mindanao but only 6 of them are classified into HUCs. This data is according to the records from the Philippines' National Competitiveness Council.

Sa sobrang lawak Kasi Ng city sa Davao scattered Yong mga buildings Kaya dimo maappreciate na urbanized sya. Mostly tayong mga tao kinokompara Ang pagiging urbanized ng city sa mga nakikita nating dikit dikit na buildings.

Yes, Isa sa basehan nang pagiging Highly Urbanized aside from the Population is the infrastructure. In Davao's case hindi dikit dikit ang mga buildings. Malawak kasi ang land area din Nila. Gayun pa man sila pa rin ang No. 1 Sa Highly Urbanized City sa Mindanao when we base it from Annual income, Population, land area etc.

@@johnquartz3291 no need Davao Park District 2 yrs from now will be dense with new buildings Abreeza-Ayala District and its surrounding area has 16 med rise-high rise buildings Davao Global Township when fully built will have 50 High rise buildings Booming pa ang BPO,light at heavy industry sa Davao pati Agriculture and it already has the largest revenue in VisMin with 11.11 Billion By 2021 Davao's Total assets will likely be near or will surpass 30 Billion and a Total revenue of 12-14 Billion because of the amount of projects courtesy of Private developers and the Government

The fact still remains that Davao only has more or less 60 high rise buildings; while Cebu has more or less 300 highrise buildings and NCR has more or less 1000 highrise buildings. Hinde basihan ang laki ng land area. Aanhin mo ang laki kung hinde puno.

Yes! We Shall be Developed as the Centre of Caraga have Infrastructures Planned to help the Component Cities Nearby. May Metered Taxi na ang Butuan City Last Year pa, it also have Modern City Transportation such as BASECO, People's Jeep, E-Jeeps. Reasonable yung List, the City of Butuan known of its Balangays. Also, in 2019 the Butuan was choosen by the Japan Government in Tokyo as the next City to be Developed and Industrialized last week din, may Indonesian Consul General pumunta sa Butuan and Talking about the Booming Investment in the City including the Region. One of the Richest ang Butuan and it hosts most of Biggest Infrastructures in the Region. Well developed ang Butuan and soon to be Built yung Twin Bridge at Macapagal Bridge also the Skyway spanning 6km of Length. The Japan just Finished the Bio-mass Electric Production in the City.

Soon by 2021 ang foreign investor na mcgregor ay magtatayo ng mga buildings, hotels, na parang buj khalifa inspired building, hospital, at port sa bislig city, surigao del sur. Parang sa singapore. Doon lahat tutungo mga barko mula australia, indonesia, japan at iba pang bansa sa east asia. Ito ay dahil sa hirap sila ngayon sa tension sa west philippine sea lilipat sila ng lugar.

Under the new proposed amendment of RA 7160 section 450 - 452 “a city shall be classified as a highly urbanized city based on the following requirements: a minimum population of 200,000 inhabitants as certified by the PSA; and a locally-generated annual income for the last two consecutive years of at least P250 million based on 2000 constant prices, as certified by the Department of Finance (DOF).” This proposal is in the final reading in the congress and anytime soon May take effect.

The plebiscite for the proclamation of Pagadian City as a highly urbanized city will be held sometime in October or November this year. So very soon, Mindanao will have 7 HUCs

Ganyan ang situation ng Davao in the 1980s and early 90s Warzone pero naka bangon kahit may bombings parin Pero mas malala jan sa Zambo Terrorism and NPA's are holding Mindanao Cities to reach its full potential BTW Zambo is a large City not just land area but urban area As of now its not yet suitable for massive real estate projects

@Good day Cosme TV, I'm Glad you have observed it. I wished to flex each City's inner beauty, But sadly the drone shots in Butuan is limited and I couldn't find a good clip to give in credits. Nevertheless among the 6, I highly appreciate Butuan because The city is filled with various kinds of Trees all over the City. Which is very peculiar now for a Highly Urbanized City.

Davao city is 7.8 times larger than Cebu city and almost 4 times larger than Metro Manila area.

Large is not important the important is how the local lgu and leaders make the place so progressive. Cebu got that even it has disadvantage in land area compare to davao but cebu are good in making their economy grow unlike davao not equal to cebu.

Pagadian city walang seaport at airport , dapitan city walang airport pero mayroong seaport, dipolog city mayroong airport pero mukhang ukay ukay pati seaport dalawang barko makasya ito ang tinatawag na this nation will great again, kailan ba tayo na great, samasama tayo babangon na sombies ba tayo noon...whaaat !!

May airport ang Pagadian. Mas marami pa ngang flights dito kesa sa Dipolog at Ozamiz. 3 flights a day Pagadian to Manila and vice versa. Tas twice a day Pagadian to Cebu and vice versa

Hi sir Nelson, kumusta po? Ang ibig ko po sabihin is Wala pong kinalaman ang IRA, Revenue, Area, population sa order or pagka sunod sunod po nang mga City. It's just a plain Presentation nang mga HUC sa Mindanao, Kung ilang HUC meron ang Mindanao at kung anong mga CITY Lang ang kinilala nang ating batas na mapabilang Sa HUC list . Kasi sa Ngayon po di po natin sila Ma ra rank dahil wala pang nailabas na latest report Ang COA for 2019. Kung gagamitin natin ang 2018 records, hindi magiging fair Yun kasi ang dami nang pinagbago nang mga kanya kanyang syudad Ngayon.

for me, a city with out tricycle running the main road and hiways. THATS THE HIGHLY URBANIZED.. MO CLAIM URBANIZED WLA GALI TAXI only MGA TRICYLE. Urbanized modern no tricycles. only davao, cdo, and iligan with taxis. iligan zero tricycle

Robinson's Butuan is substantially smaller than the one in Iligan. There aren't many shoppers, as well. It's an old, gloomy mall and the whole place looks pretty rundown. The shoppers at Robinson's Butuan are ugly ug mga taga-bukid ug itsura.

Poorly done! The view of each cities are aerial in perspective as the creator relied so much on drone shots. There is nothing on foot or land perspective which most of the viewers would prefer to have impression how far each cities have developed in relation to the thumbnail or title of this video.

I'd also like to take note that the ranking or the order of the Cities are not base on the Aerial view perspective. The Drone shots has nothing to do with the ranking. It's just representation of the City.
