i'm sorry for your plight my friend but i was once in your shoes before i was recommended to Mr Thomas and thats how i passed LSAT

I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔

I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing the LSAT she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..

Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly

Please does anyone know who this Mr Thomas is? I really need to speak with him I’m frustrated

Yes. There are three key parts to becoming an attorney: attending and graduating from law school, taking a bar prep course and passing the bar, and getting legal internships and learning the practice of law.

Great way to put it Michelle. I am definitely finding that to be the case and those three parts are not as related as they seem!

Don't lose yourself! Finding hobbies to make sure you're still you. Great tip because even when you become a lawyer you still need to be you in order to be a successful lawyer, and your hobbies may help you find what you want to do within law!

True, but getting top grades during law school is key to even getting a real attorney job.

I’m also going into 2L this fall and I 100% agree with all of these tips!! I’d also suggest taking one day a week to not do any work (like all day Sunday) so you have something to motivate your studying because you won’t get to study that one day and it will give you time to take a break and do things you like (or just rest), it helps reduce burnout :)

I'm already starting to watch these 1L advice videos even though I don't start until August but your advice already feels so helpful. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to find a clerk position during your 1L year. I know you mentioned smaller firms are a good way to go but how do you go about finding ones that might fit and then reaching out? I'm going to be in Boston next year and would love to hit the ground running with experience!
@JennMartinVlogs3 жыл бұрын
I found a lot through my school's online job board called Atlas. But also get to know upperclassmen and ask where they've interned! And then you can always just find the managing partner at a small firm and cold-email them or their paralegal with your resume and availability, asking if they need help. At least in Phoenix I know a ton of small firms have caseloads wayyyy too big for them so they need law students!

I need some advice for getting into law school. My undergrad GPA tanked due to life circumstances and difficulty readjusting from the military. However, I have since found employment as a Correction's Officer and, by repeating courses, my undergrad GPA is improving and I'm currently making straight A's. However, even with my newfound momentum, I will likely not break into 3.0 GPA range. What are other ways I can gain a leg up to get into law school? My end goal is to become a defense attorney specializing in cases related to 2A and self-defense shootings.

Hi Jenn! What would you recommend bringing to law school on the first day? Should you just bring a laptop? Thanks!
@JennMartinVlogs4 жыл бұрын
I would have a laptop and a way to take notes by hand, just in case you have a professor who does not allow laptops! Also, many of my professors hand out hard copies of the syllabus and other relevant forms on the first day, so maybe a folder to hold those. And I'll touch on this more in my upcoming Q&A video!

A question about your clerkship: how did you go about finding the position? Did you ask around locally, was there a website, did you hear about it from your school's career services, or was it by word of mouth? What is the best way you would say to go about finding a clerkship?
@JennMartinVlogs3 жыл бұрын
I used my school's online job board! They would post soo many positions on there and I applied to just about all of them.

Do they actually teach the United States Constitution and that it doesn't change over time as in the words of late justice Scalia the Constitution I interpret is dead !! If laws students don't understand the Constitution then we have nothing and also a bunch of activities making it up as they go I hope you're school taught you to interrupt the Constitution and law of the United States as WRITTEN I can't stress that enough
