thank you so much Tonka, I started playing $1 hypers on Ignition and really like the idea of making small raises when you're on the bubble and folding if the big stack over calls a shove by 2nd place. Makes perfect sense but sometimes you just need someone to plant the seed. Keep these coming :)

I checked tonkaaaa's stats for 2016 tournaments and sitngos, the guy made a fortune playing poker. Once finished 1/587 with $1000 buy-in making 109K. Great player indeed!

Hey tonka awesome to see you make something for us yt kids as well :D I think that making it 1 or 2 tables is better for this kind of strategy video as it gives more time to explain spots more in depth and the viewer also gets a better feeling of how aggresive or tight you really have to be once you see multiple hands in a row from a single table. Anyway love the videos and keep them coming.
@rawrtid
@rawrtid 7 жыл бұрын
i like the four handed plan, 2 tables will be boring because of the lack of hands, 4 tables means more hands to play therefore more things to comment on

8:00 "We shove really really wide here, like 60%, 60%-65% hands. That's my guess, I'm really rusty". Had no hands myself today and ran this in ICMIZER: 58,61%. Fucking beast. Come back soon ol' chap.

Very good and education series, however, I feel it's going a bit too fast. During your stream it's okay because most people are just watching it for entertainment, but I believe an educational video series would benefit from going a bit more in depth with the analyses. I'm not a very good player and a good reg might disagree, but I think it would be better for the video if you went down to 3 or 2 tables and talked a bit slower.
@losingstreak12
@losingstreak12 7 жыл бұрын
moromann1 another way to see it is that you can build your way up to 4 tables. maybe even start with 1 or 2 tables to get the fundamentals out and give more details of situations. once that's over, then expand out to 3-4 tables and go over advanced strategy.

Hey man, I've been successfully grinding 3$ hypers, and I'm really thankful to have found this video, i believe you're really gonna up my game. About the first strategy aspect you mentioned, the 2/3 stack raise from the button, being short stacked, in order to up the times you cash in the money. I really dug that, and will try to implement it but I didnt really understand why 2/3 of your stack. Would that work with, lets say 50% of the stack or maybe less? And what's the backup plan if theres a float and a fold? A sort of stop and go play where you shove 100% of the times on the flop? Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work

Yea I play these now for a while (very low buy-ins though for practice), but there is just another factor in it on how loose players can go to get a certain bounty.. Are you playing those in which the 1st and 2nd place both give you the same amount of money? And the bounty is 1/3th of the pay-outs of those 1st and 2nd place? Allthough 1st place gives you at least another 2 bounties (of your last opponent and your own bounty). Would love to see a video on those on what's the best strategy for them :)

When you were starting out, did you use ICMizer? How do you know your opponent's calling ranges so well? In the micros there's so many different rec players and only a few regs who's ranges I'm familiar with. So shoving the sb with two small stacks isn't as good when calling ranges vary from 10%-70% in the same spot.

Atleast 100 buyins even as a rec player preferably 250+ if you're somewhat serious player, hypers im talkin bout....50 buyin downswings are pretty easy in hypers so better be safe than sry. It's good to be slightly overolled as then you don't think about the money when a downswing hits & continue playing your A game.
