This game looks amazing, like everything you could possibly ask for from a Spyro remake. Gameplay looks fluid, voice acting is hilariously cheesy and the world just looks full of character and fun to explore. All they have to do here is fix the loose camera and we're aces.

Actor Adam Anouer yup. I cannot wait to see what YOD looks like, that was my favorite game out of the three. They havent even show what the major characters(Hunter, Bianca, Sheyla, etc) will look like. Its just gonna be great. As long as they are trying to make a great product, I got all the patience in the world!

Well said my man. Year of the Dragon is my favourite in the trilogy because it's charismatic as hell and completly unique with it's world design and of course so is Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimmer (sorry, I'm european) . I really have missed this franchise, I never grew up with Mario 64 or Banjo but with Spyro I never needed them.

You can look up the one done by Achievement Hunter. It shows a full (100% on each level) playthrough of these three levels, by someone who is a very big fan of the original series, and very familiar with it. He talks through most of it, but you still get to see the entire level, by someone who actually knows how to play.

Danny Sweeney Yeah I had heard they recast him as Spyro instead of Carlos Alazraqui. Adds a nice sense of uniformity to it. Plus, Greg Berger, the guy who voiced Hunter and Moneybags in the original trilogy is coming back as well. Can't wait for the game to come out!

Not gonna lie, I actually liked Carlos Alazraqui as first Spyro, made him sound young, and still inexperienced. However, Tom Kenny is fun to hear as well, and does add a level of maturity to the growing dragon. All in all I'm loving the remake.

Danny Sweeney I wanted Rocko to reprise his role as Spyro, but Heffer reprises his role as Spyro instead because the steer voiced the purple dragon the most.

Man, the attention to detail is absolutely incredible: the grass getting scorched by Spyro’s flames, the addition of the paintings on that pillar, the character designs, they even got Spyro’s original voice actor back. If it hadn’t been for the N. Sane Trilogy’s success, we wouldn’t even have this. I thank Activision for letting me relive some great memories.

I honestly think that Smash Bros Ultimate is disappointing. It's nice that it has every character, but it doesn't really look all too different from Smash 4. They didn't take advantage of the Switch's extra specs like they should have.

It's a forgone conclusion its coming to the Switch. Nintendo just revealed the Crash remake is coming to the Switch, so have no fear. The Spyro remake will go to the Switch soon.

Yeah. Nestor (the very first dragon) was shown in the reveal trailer shown that the dragons having a redesign, and thank God for that, I just noticed a long while ago that they're were recolors of each other, can't blame them for that though.

I believe the original VA for Hunter and Moneybags has returned. According to an intwrview, the developers are trying to work with as many original Spyro Trilogy voice actors as possible.

I'm really impressed at some of the additions they've got here without changing much, like how the castle in the Toasty level is full of paintings and then you realise that dragon painted them all, so like that's probably his house. I can't wait to see what they did with all the other levels, now.

Everything about this is absolutely perfect! Except the gameplay seems a bit faster than the original and it's a little too intense. The game used to be more relaxing and felt like you could take your time and explore.

Kieran Guest Spyro was never a "really" challenging game, it's more of a really fun collecting and exploring game. I'm so looking forward to playing while really chilling out, not many games on the market gives you that experience these days.

Well Spyro's a collectathon the main challenge simply comes from finding the Dragons and secrets which are rediculously well hidden in the games. Don't get me wrong there are elements of challenge in the game but it's like Ratchet & Clank in the sense most of the challenge comes from being able to find secrets.

You mean 120%? It's not that difficult, to get all the gems you just need to literally cover every inch of every level, which is why the exploration element of this game is so vital, back in 1998 the graphics were fairly revolutionary, no game before it had done a fully 3D landscape where there was no "fog" and you could see everything from every part of the map. I'm really excited to see how all of the other levels have been updated, that's what I'm most excited about!

I really liked what they did with The Legend of Spyro. I always kinda felt there should have been a 4th game. I mean Dawn of the Dragon ends with Spyro, Cynder and the 3 Guardians as the only dragons left alive.

I think that might just be because the animated is more fluid. Like, the newer 2D mario games initially feel less responsive or quick than the NES originals, but if you compare them side-to-side they're basically moving the same.

I definitely want to see it on pc. Imagine the modding possibilities! New levels and worlds could be possible if people could figure out how to mod it. But even if that somehow wasn't ever possible, it'd be really nice to have it on PC as is.

They have a forgiving pause before attacking, so most adult gamers can pick them off before they go to hit you.

I'm glad they changed that bit of dialogue when speaking to that Dragon in the Toasty level. In the original, referring to him as a "boss" really killed the immersion.

guess im the only one thats remaining skeptical. not that thats a good thing, nor will i brag if im right afterwards. but this is just too big a project to pull off successfully all at once. 2 months of nothing but toasty and tree tops, we gave them criticism and they changed some things. sure thats great....how bout the 99.9% of the rest of the trilogy? can we give em some community-wide criticism for that? are we just gonna assume everythings gonna be perfect because of some simplistic 2 levels of gameplay on the very 1st spyro?.... they coulda just done 1 game at a time. 3 games in like a year after the crash trilogy remake? thats ubisoft assassins creed calibre of speed, but they just dont have those kinds of resources

TraXXXtar I agree with your point, but Vicarious Visions handled the N-Sane Trilogy, a completely unrelated company. We don't know how long Toys for Bob have had this in development for.

but the problem is that the old ones were just copy paste of other ones, so that's why they gave them new looks and personalities because they don't want you to feel like you're saving the same dragon

BlueBubbleBox 13 Yeah i like that idea Because saving the same looking Dragons sounds ridicilous XD I dont know what will they do with the Dragon eggs in Spyro 3 i mean most of them have different animation(The very different one was the boss egg) but same design
