I found Courtney's Patreon through someone's post on Instagram last year. I'm thankful I did. I never knew she had a KZfaq channel until I heard her mention it in one of her videos. She offers well more content than what I pay each month with the amount of time that goes into what she's doing. The one thing I think everyone is forgetting is that she doesn't "owe" anyone anything. She loves creating art. If she can support her family while doing something she loves to do why should that make any of you unhappy? The ones it bothers should think about that. Thank you Courtney.

There is something very special about the way Courtney shares her art with us. Her parents must be so proud! I enjoy her videos, I have a stressful job and she takes all that away..I fully support Patreon. Her art is her work .We all get paid for what we do, why shouldn't she? One local art class for a hour or two is more than one month of Patreon. As for what she spends her money on thats her business no pun intended.

Maybe Courtney will release her Patreon videos to her You Tube subscribers after they are a year old. I watch Ali Brown and she has been doing this. I am so grateful that she does this. Courtney and Ali have inspired me so much and I cannot thank them enough.

That movie, Miss Potter, has such meaning for me. I had to fly alone and I hate flying. An elderly couple looked after me and let me watch Miss Potter on their laptop. It was the ladies favorite movie. I don't live too far from the Lakes, where Beatrix lived and you can visit her home, Hill Top. If I go there I will be sure to pick up a souvenir for your journal. xx

I am so inspired by you Courtney. I absolutely love your videos 😍 I love how free you are with your journaling. My art studio has recently went on fire and I have lost everything I've collected for years. Me and my family are safe but in emergency housing as our home in unlivable. I have been missing my art so much so I have got myself a simple journal and some watercolours so I'm going back to basics. I'm stunned that people don't recognize that being an artist is work. Yes, it's work. Unfortunately, there are few Julius IIs to sponsor art in these days. I know many actors who are waiting tables, many artists who are doing web design (one works as carpenter), many musicians who are in the building trades. All of them would prefer to do their art full time. Unfortunately, most of them still need food and shelter..When I win the Lotto, art and artists will be on my list. I love your journal!

A creative should never be made to question their worth, or have people think it is ok to trivialise what they do. I am sorry for those that feel they can not afford the content that Courtney creates, but your lack of being able to afford it does not negate the work that Courtney puts into her art and the value that her community derives from it. Likes, Shares and Comments do no pay bills and look after families. Looking back at the videos there have still been regular posts on You Tube, and the entitlement of some demanding free content is a little embarrassing. Free content is great, I love free content. But subscribing to get extra value is wonderful for the artist and for the community who wants to learn from her. Courtney, be proud of your talent, your business and the community you have built. Never let people feel like you don't have a real job just because you have followed your passion and they haven't. As for the haters, my advice is to Block and Delete. You don't need their negativity invading your mental space anyway.

You inspire, encourage and support me everyday and make me laugh. So the negative comments here have broken my heart as I know they have yours over the past few days. Angela, Alison, Britney and any others who believe that you have made Courtney who she is are so very sadly mistaken. The only person responsible for her success, her creativity and her responsibilities is Courtney!!! It is her own blood, sweat and tears that have got her to where she is able to make a living to support her creativity and her family at the same time. Your comments are bitter, entitled, insensitive, ungrateful, selfish and so many more words that I could write here. I think you should stop and taste your words before commenting any further as you have not stopped to think about their impact on the person you are complaining about and claiming to support. And yet Courtney has taken your comments, given them more consideration than they deserve and is now trying to work out how to fit more work into her already overly scheduled life just to please you. You have been getting free content that many other artists would have charged for for way too long and its time to put your money where your mouths are or simply be quiet and grateful for the content you are still being graciously given - however infrequent you might think it is. Wow, Courtney it was nice to see all of the different ideas you used in your journal. I'm a big fan of color so I enjoyed this flip a lot. I also have this Crossfield and I use it for my bullet journal and anything else I feel like. My worry is how big it'll get if I continue to add tip ins and pics so I'm having a dilemma as to what else I could use it for. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Art is something I have always wanted to pursue after school, I would love to be a portrait artist or illustrator and seeing your work makes me realise this dream is possible. I was thinking Floating Head has room under him for his colorful, funny story. I love that he kept throwing himself onto the floor! And I know you probably have the hotel in New York taken care of but, just in case you or anyone else who is reading this is looking for a budget hotel that is great, I strongly recommend the Pod Hotel. (I just Googled it and it looks like they have more than one now which doesn't surprise me.) When my daughter and I went over 10 years ago, it was perfect for us. It was around the same price as the cheaper hotels we had found but those weren't on Manhatten and looked kind of scary. The Pod was on a quiet street that felt really safe with a deli and subway right on the corner. The rooms were small but really cute and we weren't doing much else than sleep in them anyway. Anybody who has taken my recommendation has been really grateful because it saves a ton of money. I'll let you look it up for yourself if interested. Have a wonderful time! We really enjoyed our trip!
