Great review. Really enjoyed watching it. You nailed it by emphasizing its 'basic' character. I have bought Topstone 4 exactly for the same reason - to have a capable bikepacking machine wich every dimension and thread being an industry standard. Leaving a comment to feed the algorithm and help you grow. Keep on going!

Did you have to deal with the FSA crankset recall?

Nope. Cannondale sent mine with the GRX crank. I know a lot of the topstones do come with the FSA crank though. Not quite sure how I got one with GRX

Totally. It’s got all the mounts you would need for that kind of stuff.
