Do you experience your hair sticking up constantly at this stage? I'm almost 8 months in and I do not know if its the type of hair I have or the length but my locs just won't stay down.

Loving your loc journey sis! Your month 4 was my months 4 through 12!🤣 I felt like people were looking at me and thinking "poor thing, she's just given up on herself"! But despite it I always smiled and had love for my locs. My 1st loc journey lasted 12 years so I know what's coming. On the one hand, that provides me with a peace to let my locs do their thing. On the other hand, it was still surprisingly hard pushing through this stage.

I’m soooo glad I found you!! It’s rare to find someone who doesn’t have more than 100 locs. I sometimes get discouraged cause my hair is on the thinner 4c side, so you can often see my parts, and I maybe have 60 locs, unlike others who have A LOT of thick locs. But I love them, and seeing yours and how beautiful and organic they are (not overmanipulated) is awesome. And you’re beautiful!!! New subbie!

I recently hit two weeks of having starter locs 😅 and I have 62 of then currently. I have thicker 4c hair. Don't be discouraged! Remember that it's your journey, not someone else's! Good luck!

Oh my gosh this me. I’m at 5-6mths with short locks and I have just became confident enough to wear even though I’m at the kind of awkward length but I feel free. My hair though haven’t seemed to start really locking (you can still see the twists) and I also don’t have the thick 4c hair with over 100 locs I’ve been noticing on some other videos. After watching her video I’m even more confident in letting my hair just be free and trust the process and be patient 🎉 😊thank you

Great video! I started my 2nd loc journey in Oct (2020), and was told by my Loctician, that because I was previously loc’d for 9 yrs, the second journey wouldn’t take as long. She was RIGHT! I actually started budding, this time, within the first month.

i love this ! 💕 im currently at my 3 month mark. i started with finger coils and im stressed!! i always thought i had 4c hair texture before i started my locs but ive noticed that i dont.. my hair is wayyy more softer than i thought towards the back and they keep unraveling. the front/middle is doing well. i already see a difference, you cant tell they were coils at all but its still a struggle.
