Actually there are change ringing towers in the U.S. They are mostly on the east coast tho.

Ya I've heard them ring a few times when I've been downtown, I need to find out specifically when they ring for sure though.

Oh, they ring every hour and if your lucky they have a special ring on funerals and Easter.

Also there 12 chime is better than the normal hour chimes.
