My Dad was a truck driver for over 15 years. It's a Nomadic life and you do meet some creepy people. It's different if you're a local truck driver but Over The Road guys have seen some shit.

As a truck driver these stories send a chill down my spine when listening at night. Definitely believe in the paranormal and nope out when I hear stories of people messing with, summoning/talking to the other side.

I always love a good roadtrip. I just love it when people realize I'm in the backseat.

There's a long stretch of road where I live (Lexington, Ky) that's called Russell Cave Road and it's a hotspot for weird things happening and is notorious for Fatal wrecks. Rumor has it, part of Russell Cave was built on an Indian burial ground. There's a Curve on that road that is so sharp that it has been nicknamed "Deadman's Curve" because of all the people who've driven off the road on that curve and died. I avoid RC at all costs.

Road trips, backroads, rest-stops, night drive, and skin walkers are some of my favorite ones. Love listening while I’m at work

@ the 1st story, that African American old lady is Marie Laveau. She was the voodoo queen and I've heard that she appears as herself or sometimes even as a boa in the cemetery. Oh and in the recent season of American Horror Story they portrayed her in a few episodes.

That first story made my jaw drop after it was over and I thought about the ending. She said that they could have become casualties to Hurricane Katrina if they didn’t listen to that old woman and leave the state. What blew me away was thinking back on what the woman told her “Leave this place or you will drown for your sins”. If they stayed in New Orleans, they would have probably drowned in Hurricane Katrina!! 😳🤭😱

Truck Stop Horror Maniac reminds me of Ghostface on Scream. I love going on long haul truck runs with hubby..especially North. The Aussie outback will always be beautiful to me under the night sky with no lights. Nobody around and no towns for hours...love it 👌

My CB handle was Nutty Buddy which was the name of an ice cream cone topped with chocolate and nuts made by Bordon's. My mom was a member of a group of CBers who acted as go betweens for truckers who witnessed crashes, drunk drivers and anything else that needed law enforcement notice long before cell phones. Also, my mom had a good friend who was a waitress at a local truck stop dinner. We used to go hang out with her for a few hours each night on which she worked. They had two arcade games, and I became the queen of Centipede. All the regulars knew each other, cops and truckers alike would always give me quarters for the game. Those were the days!

I to grew up in a large family, 12 of us and my brothers all 7 of them taught this girl how to protect myself, even when I didn’t want to learn at times. Lol, that means I had to make them stop picking on me! But I am forever grateful for this as it helped me out of a few sticky situations.

That story after the curvy is very unholy and horrifyingly true. I just... my body starts reacting on its own I have done all the research and seen all kinds of unexplainable and unnatural things. The screech came from what is called a cryptid and one that would paralyze you if you took even one look at it. it’s a sight no human should ever experience I have had contact with one and let me tell you there is even more terror with the... humanoid/type featherless birds. It’s like you literally just saw the devil but magnified 3x as scary. It’s so unnerving that you just... can’t ever feel the same again. With your situation it’s crazy that your luck even existed. My god every time I imagine 1 meter above your head. My entire nervous system goes into shock with mucus running crazy and hairs going all up. The fact you could feel hate makes it soo much scarier. My god you are blessed you never knew everything that happened. The encounter you had. Is probably one of the worst stories of over 7 billion others. Now what that encounter was is something many people say is completely false. There are many terrifying creatures out there. But you probably set the world record for the worst ever human-monster-survived encounter yet and maybe the only one ever to tell such a story for as everybody who tries either will die a certain petrifying death beyond human comprehension or will have killed such a creature, either way. Stuff even remotely alike that leaves a permanent and powerful P.T.S.D. Scar that might ruin you forever.

And right as he starts the creepy Maniac voice, someone knocked on my window and i jumped so hard the whole truck shook and the cop who knocked on my window jumped too. He asked if i was okay and i just went "oh, i was just.... nevermind" hahaha
