A lot of people try all these methods and still left with the black screen. If the screen vibrates your phone is working you will need to drain the battery or find any way to unlock the screen then force restart the phone. That method worked for me

I bought a Samsung s20 FE 5G on October 2021. I haven't even put my phone on ground once or even haven't used any other chargers apart from what cam with box. Exactly after a year I faced this blackout issue. I was trying the same things that was mentioned in this video and tried multiple times. Nothing was working and got more frustrated. Then decided to go for a service center. So I thought to remove the tempered glass from the display. Just wanted to check for any luck. So tried massaging the display once after removing the tempered glass. Just after one press it came back to life😍. *If anyone facing the issue even after trying all the methods, try to remove screen guards if there was any. It might do its trick.*

Dude, it's crazy -- the massage worked! I had a BSOD and it had no response. After massaging the front and back it showed that it was charging. Previously it would not take a charge and then died completely. You provided a big laugh to my family as well when I told them I massaged my phone back to life! Did all the methods from top to bottom, even gave up for awhile knowing that my phone has gone thru this issue before and the repairman said its the ribbon inside thats bent/misplaced. Did the massage, phone gave a lil hint of starting up again with the samsung logo peeking out for a wee bit and dissappearing again. Did the taps, same thing happened and the phone died again, no sign of life even after charger plug in. Did the last slap back n front, charged it again and left it to rest. Came back after a few mins and did the reboot (power button + volume up) and it jolted back to life for a few seconds....went to restart screen...and died. THIS REALLY IS A LABOR OR LOVE (at the risk of spending more money for the repair) so I repeated all the steps again....and now my phone is charging at 3% :) I dare not touch it anymore until it's atleast half charged at a 50%. Thank you ik this was a long winded one...but i needed to let it out. Im in a foreign country and idk how expensive phone repairs are here so I'm saved :)

I have to give you guys hope: I did all the fixes, including refrigerator. Restarted 30+ times, tapped, massaged, thumped and equal number of times over 6 hours last night. Nada. Found other comments about plugging in/out laptop, using DEX on PC. None worked. I change cables and USB ports. Device Manager didn't even see the phone. I finally went to sleep, and awoke this morning and.... nada. I resigned myself to shelling out $400 for a new screen, but first I had errands. While driving to errands I thumped phone of steering wheel, pretty hard, thinking if it broke it didn't matter because I was getting a new screen. Probably did front-back-top-bottom, rinse and repeat five times. Nada. Pulled into the FixIt store, showed them the problem, they checked for parts (yay!), I asked if I could wait for it to be repaired and they agreed but first needed to help customers picking up products. As I waited I tried a force restart.. nada. But 15 minutes later, when I was checking the phone in -- no kidding - flipped the phone over to get the serial number, and IT CAME BACK ON. It was out of commission for 24 hours. It has been working, for 3 hours. Can't explain it. My battery was at 95% so it wasn't a result of battery drain. Good luck to you all. so I tried following your tips and after countless hours I kind of felt ridiculous. so I wanted to give another tip to add onto yours, if you have a tv or monitor you can buy a usb-c adapter for hdmi and connect your phone to your monitor/tv. this allows the monitor/tv to sort of act as a temporary replacement for the screen. In this time you can navigate and go to your settings to backup your phone to either a memory card or an online storage service like google drive, just in case you need to reset/transfer phones.

Less than a month ago I replaced my S20 Ultra screen and today it fell and the screen went black. I thought it was broken again. I almost cried in the store. I’m out of the country and wasn’t going to be able to get a new phone any time soon. I tried the hard reset before finding this video and although I could feel the phone vibrate at the restart the screen did not come back on. I found this video and did the massage and tapping and tried again and it came back on! I’m about to cry. No joke. I’m so relieved!! Thanks so much!!

Have tried all your fixes like you said was able to receive phone calls, no Samsung screen could fell it vibrate when doing the reset . I had tried 10 times all of what you recommended and still not working. even tried to hook up to the computer to see if I could see any thing from the phone and nothing showed up from the SD card or the phone . There was an update 17 pending but didn't down load it as of this time. went to the the phone store and told they will have new phone sent the next day.

Finally got it. I gave up hope but still tapped and slapped the phone. Finally, I took off my screen protector and pushed where my camera button would be a few times and then rebooted it and it started up with the logo finally. I've spent maybe ten hours doing everything in this video and after taking the thin film protector off that the phone came with and doing the tap and slap and trying to access my camera one last time, it started working....who knows. Like everyone says, don't give up.

My phone's display became white, then I turned on the safe mode, and a few minutes later it became normal. but when I turned off safe mode, it became the same again, then again to safe mode, and became normal. again turned off, became the same. from then it is still the same, it doesn't matter if the safe mode is on or off. I did the factory reset, but still it doesn't work. some say to change the flex. My question is if it has any problem with the flex, why it became normal when I turned on safe mode? When the screen has become normal, do I still need to fix the flex?

I have the black screen and used DeX to project the phone's image to my TV. This showed me that, even though phone's screen is black, it is still powered on. Oddly, the touch screen is only working on about the bottom 15% of the phone (I can run my finger around black screen and watch the tv monitor, this is how I know). Does this give an indication of the problem? Thanks

Wow... excellent... the massage method worked on the second attempt and thank you so much. first, I did all the steps to the freezer one but nothing happened then I went to the repair store and they said motherboard issue and it costs almost 450 dollars to replace it. but they could not fix it. so I wanted to try again one more time. I wish this worked for me but it didn’t . This phone was my spare phone bc it was dropped and smashed all the back cover. ran out of battery so I left it on charge for a couple of days and now it work turn on . I’ve tried all but the last 2 since the back is cracked and it would cut me and fall apart if I was to tap and smack it and it didn’t work and Ive tried the wire on my switch to test and it worked. What else could be the problem?

I was having issues getting it to work, so I decided to try restarting the phone and it went dead. Could the Ethernet adapter have something to do with it?

Don't give up! One day after I changed the battery it went black. Tried force restart for two days. The third day it WORKED. I wonder if Samsung programed it to do this, because I opened it?

The massage solution works!! Even today! It wasn't working before but when we removed the screen guard and then tried the massage thing + reboot, it worked! Please make sure that your phone is charged for at least 30 minutes (even if you don't see it charging).

Please anyone respond, I'm desperate for answers. I dropped my samsung s20 fe 5g today and right after I dropped it it was fine, but soon after it started acting up. I took it out of my pocket to see that it had the samsung s20 fe 5g screen on it and when I would reset it that screen would show up, but that's the only screen that shows up. It doesn't go past that. It just constantly shows that screen then goes dark then goes back to that screen. It seems like no one else has seen this problem before, so please is anybody has anything please reply

My Samsung Note 20 ultra got black scene after i activate function form developer menu.( That was the last modification i have done to it). So i suspect this is an issue with firmware and done all force restart methods available on the video. In my case it was not successful. At last i decided to freeze it. So I took the phone and put it in a zip lock bag and kept in the freezer about 15 minutes. After I force restarted it and it was started in the first attempt.Still I cannot identify what is the technical reason for the issue or how it was resolved but any way it was saved my phone without a damage.Thank you # WorldofTech

I tried it with S10 plus , and it works!! After slaming it on my hand .. watch from 3:30 .. my telphone was working normally and suddenly freeze and turn off and not turning on even with a force restart .. but this slaming let it work again .. thanks for the video

just bought the S21 ultra 5g phone today, music was playing, picked up the phone and was shocked it was black-colored screen, did the reset and was wide-eyed to see samsung logo... is this a common issue with this device?

My screen stays black and when I press the power button all I see is my notification bar but all white with no notifications on it not even the battery logo and when I plug my charger the notification bar becomes green and can get the phone to open but as soon as the screen locks again same problem starts again what can I do?

I tried all of the methods listed in the video, but none worked. I even plugged the device into the original charger and it didn't show the charging icon. I was already prepared to take the phone with me for technical assistance, when I decided to connect the phone to a S10 charger. The screen instantly showed the charge icon, and to my surprise it was 100% charged. I used the method press simultaneously decrease volume and button turn on. It turned on at the same moment. I suggest including this alternative. Use a charger other than the original Samsung S20+.

Had this happened to me yesterday. Black screen of death but can feel vibrations and even my pen noise when I slide it out and in. Also had a LED phone case to check if it showed the time on the outside to see if it was dead or on. Showed the time so it was on but tried force restarting it and I could hear it turn on but no logo or screen or anything. Then I started seeing white bars blinking after I held it from force restarting. Nothing worked.. I massaged the phone because it did make sense to do, I smacked it, but then I spent around 2 hours calling it from another phone to make it vibrate and sound so it would lose battery faster.. Went to sleep and went to pick it up from the bag I put it in so I didn't have to hear my ringtone the whole night and I accidentally dropped it. I don't know if dropping it in this case fixed it in place for it to work or me calling it 130+ times for it to vibrate each time. I also want to mention I changed the sim card right before this happened so I still think that's what caused it all to do this. Taking it out, putting old chip in, diff charger stuff does not work. I guess maybe just try and dropping it accidentally but not where it will crack or call it that many times for it to vibrate. Hopefully this doesn't happen again or I will be distraught
