Thanks for the Brilliant suggestion Andy! Hope you enjoyed the vid and and it answered your questions. Was ton of fun putting it together, and a very timely request as well. Oh, the only thing we didn't cover is cargo on shorts. It's totally fine to wear them as long as they fit properly. Although I must say, the cargo pocket design doesn't really add as much allure on shorts, as they do on trousers. They do increase functionality though. Overall, shorts tend to look best at the right length, and a proper fit. Everything else, is of little significance. Hope that helps.

I do like an espadrille but will be open minded on those mules as I’ve avoided them for a bit! Those did look sharp with that fit!

I will admit...these specific ones are pretty pricey, and they do take some getting used to on the feet. I wear mine pretty often, and if there's one style of casual shoe that looks GREAT with just about any summer casual outfit...then it's a pair of these. 👍🏾

I know you were advocating for the 9” inseam (4:11) but dude looked way better in the shorter (5” inseam?) shorts near the end (10:33).

Good point. But again it's due to preference and body type. It's important to be prudent when giving style advice on a mass scale, and I do think that length will work best for 'most' men especially 30s and up(the target audience for this channel). But to your point and overall, I do think 5-7" inseam shorts in athletic cuts look BEST on physcally fit men. However, these types of shorts aren't appropriate for some activities like a nice date, attending a sports game for work in a sky lounge/suite e.t.c. So in summary it comes down to the occasion, and personal fitness. Hope that helps to clarify. 🍻 I myself wear 9" during the week, and 7" or less on the weekends and for personal activities.

I'll definitely include link my casual outfit..it was a 5" inseam short. And absolutely! Red + Green is a wonderful color for menswear when done right. We even played with this color palette for Troy's outfit in the intro. 🦾

Really great pointers, thanks! Personally, though, the sandals are w-a-y too bulky; how a bout huaraches? Also, I think that if you're going to wear a sport coat with your shorts (or kilt), you need to wear over the calf socks, which kind of defeat the purpose, so what do you think of a linen shirt or guayabera with light trousers + shoes?

The inseam is all about a person's height. As someone who's 5'8, I regularly wear a 5 or 6-inch inseam shorts. I work out, have nice legs, and like showing them off. If you're 5'10 plus, you should wear a 7-inch inseam. Over 6 feet, a 9-inch inseam is probably best. You tend to look more stylish when you follow these inseam/height rules. It's more masculine, and you don't want to hide in big baggy shorts. I work with private clients and personal shop for them and provide image assessments. Hit me up

Agreed. 👍🏽 But as stated in the video, it also depends on the occasion. If you're going to an upscale event, or schmoozing at an afterwork event...then at that same 5'8 height, 5-6" inseam is going to feel a tad bit short, and either underdressed or inappropriate...or both. Time & Place + Body Type situation. Thanks for weighing in...love the healthy discourse. 🍺

In the right temperatures 65 & under, they are awesome! Especially when paired with a quilted or puffer vest, or as a layering item underneath a short length jacket.

Hi 👋 Guys who have good muscular legs generally look great in shorts. If they are too large or too skinny then they don't. I personally like wearing them.

Totally agree. However, big guys or slender men can pull them off too. They just need to follow some of the tips in this video, specifically with regards to length and opening and they'll look great as well. Cheers! 🍻
