Hendrix released that first album with the experience 10 years after picking up a guitar. He didn't have KZfaq, teachers, or anything. Did it all by ear. @jennijun2 жыл бұрын
@@dylannoonan260 My comment by no means suggested that she was born with a guitar in her hand. If you follow her progression of all the videos she's released over the years, you will see how much hard work she's put into achieving her admirable and insane level of ingenuity. Using the phrase "natural talent" refers to her astute decision to pursue music (whether this is a hobby or a career, etc) and sharing with the world experience a talent (also known as a "skill") that she holds. There are many of us with an inherent, natural ability in certain fields that surpasses others. It's why some choose to pursue and excel in art or music versus construction and engine re-building versus optical physics or neuroscience. Everyone has a set of natural talents; it's whether we choose to feed our natural abilities to become something timeless, or choose to pursue a settled, more standard prescribed path in life and remain mediocre. *Edited for typo on "fields"

Why do the strings hurt my fingers so much? HOW DO PEOPLE DO THIS?" Eventually I went over my finger placement through videos, and that really helped. JustinGuitar is a life saver, now I can play most chords without any issues! Don't give up! Keep practicing! And you always wanna try aiming for songs that are one skill level above yours. if you liked it then definitely listen to will paquin his songs all kinda have that exact vibe and I just want someone else out there to know about him he's so underrated 😭

I have been playing guitar for almost 3 months now and have been practicing every day and working hard but progress is slow but this video just reminded me that things like this just take time and resilience
@jeffgillson2 жыл бұрын
Take some lessons. A GOOD teacher should be able to zero in on exactly what you need to do to improve and speed your progress. If money is an issue for 30min lessons or only take a lesson every 2-3 weeks and PRACTICE what you are taught in between

Great! That’s what I loved about the guitar... the progress and getting better! It’s undeniable!! It’s what keeps me going.

Nice, watching yourself progress over years of work is one of the best feelings in the world. That last song is cool

I love how literally every beginner buys a strat and then sounds like shit for the next year. It’s a right of passage at this point.
@Pugrug.2 жыл бұрын
You pretty much have to relearn when you start on acoustic and go to electric, it was really confusing when I moved from my cordobas to a strat lol.
@MaxSoup82 жыл бұрын
When you learn how to play without a teacher, you play the right notes, but at the wrong way, so you have to relearn how to play guitar, and that happened to me
@andreamonae Жыл бұрын
damn, this is exactly what I needed to see today to pick up my guitar and continue my journey of learning it/teaching myself... tryin to live that jam life---- wondering what you used to teach yourself, if you're cool with sharing? or if you kinda just learned by ear and playing songs. much love to you and your journey tho. musicianship is such a beautiful thing to have/be a part of.
@trey_dizzle4161 Жыл бұрын
learn a song you like and look up what makes the song (Scales/chords) and learn that. just play your guitar at least 15 minutes a day and youll get way better than playing 5 hours one day a month

I love how you didn't give up. I have an older cousin sister who used to learn guitar but she stopped playing it because it "hurted too much for her". I don't play guitar but I always dreamt of playing it, so when I see her giving up playing for such small reasons it makes me mad like of course it's gonna hurt at first cause you don't have guitar calluses yet!. still whenever I go to her house I just see the guitar on it's stand (I don't know what that is called I am sorry I am no guitar expert😶) I feel kinda sad cause it has so many better uses than just being a display on one's room.
