I remember doing the same thing with my dad back in 1975. I'm 53 now and I still remember it like it was yesterday. He has been gone for 10 years, Passed way too early. My son has been riding since he was 5 or 6. Has a nice mini fatboy and 3 other bikes to choose from. It gets in your blood at an early age. Good job.

How many motorcycle accidents have you seen? I've seen too many. Some are just a couple scrapes and bruises, but some are literally torn in half with their entrails stretching down the road 300+ feet, alot of times the latter result iss due to NOT WEARING GEAR. I'm all for teaching kids to ride motorcycles, but teaching how to ride them safely is the way to go. So what your dad let you ride like this as a kid no gear, this father is an idiot and so was yours.

This will be one memory the kid will remember for life. I remember when my dad would let me drive the car at age 6-7 (in his lap of course i couldnt reach) man do i cherish that moment when my dad trusted me to steer the car through back roads! And when he taught me how to ride a dirtbike when i was like 8-10.... I some times wish i was that young again and could be just riding around with my dad... Now his knees are in to much pain to go for motorcycle rides or swing the cars in the back streets.... When i tried to drive the car by myself the first time at age 11 i accelerated to hard took off the mirror. My dad didnt yell or punish me. He took me back out (even though i was scared from rubbing against a post) and told me "its my fault for not teaching you earlier" 11 yrs of age i could operate a vehicle darn good. This kid is mad lucky and will remember this day for ever. Trust me i know. Be safe!

Seat belts, car seats, elbow pads, knee pads, etc. According to the way we think these days its a miracle that any of us made it to adulthood alive. This kid is probably one of the only few kids left in the America that feels his dad is his hero. The father has allowed us to join in on a old school moment of my dad is cooler than your dad for his kid and we should thank him for that. So thanks for this cool vid!

Just love all the negative comments on this. You sir are a idol to alot of people. and most dont seem to realize that weather or not a helmet is "way too big" they had adjustment straps for a reason. Glad to see a child able to be trusted with the controls of this lovely sounding hog! Ride on Brother! We are all Brothers of the Wind!
@bigtvideos63872 жыл бұрын
I'm sry. But your wrong, the strap is for different chin shapes but does not go passed the bottom of the helmet. If the helmet is to big for him then the foam inside won't fit snug and he can get pretty bad head injurys just from his head rattling inside the helmet. he also risks it flying off on impact. I don't have kids. but I wouldn't let a adult ride my bike with to big of a helmet

I used to drive my dad's car when I was a little kid the same way, on his lap. Then I went on to my grandpa's jeep Willys, a rice field plower with 16 wheels, and a tracktor with tracks. All of that before I was 8, we lived in a huge cattle farm and he had equipment and machinery everywhere. My dad had a harley with suicide shift, I think something like 1948 or something like that, and I still have my first birthday sitting on it. Now I'm on my no. 13 bike, a Goldwing.

a bit velocity for my opinion but, after watching the video entirely; the father choose a clean road, and he inspires his son to take control of the bike, only for a few seconds. So the father shares his passion, and the kid will never forget this moment with him. A little bit risky (I ride motorcycle everyday, don't like cars) but we are men!... so they both are the coolest bikers on the road there!.. cheers!

Accidents happen whether YOU think your invincible or not, and I'd really hate to see you lose your boy because of your bad judgement!

I'm not one to tell someone how to raise their child or what/what not to do, but this just blew my mind. It's not even the fact that dad let him control (kind of) the bike. Not a big deal, but what was a big deal is that that only gear that the kid had on was a damn helmet that was obviously not his. Baseball gloves, little red basketball shorts, and a tshirt, imagine the pain that this kid would go through if they wrecked and the nurse had to pick little pieces of asphalt and rocks out of his skin, the road rash that'll burn like its on fire and possibly broken bones. Come on, dad. This is just crazy, man. The kid isn't even my son and I would hate to see him get hurt. The scars from road rash stay with you, bro. That shit doesn't go away, it'll be a permanent reminder to him. I've gone down a couple times, the shit hurts like hell and having rocks picked out is fucking brutal. I know you don't want to see your son like that. Dude, get the kid some gear and teach him the right way, not the squid way.

People and the negativity it's crazy. My father used to do this all the time with me on his bike. I was 9 years old and I rode from Connecticut to long trail Vermont on the back of his bike. I am now 24 have been riding my entire life never have gotten a ticket or an accident and I have a baby daughter that I plan on doing the same exact things my dad did with me with her. Kids tend to act more mature with things like this when they start at a young age as opposed to the kids that never got to do this stuff then got a little taste of freedom on 2 wheels and go balls to the wall when they think they have it figured out. Nothing but respect for this father.

WOW the boy has more skills (and balls) at riding than most who drive four wheeled vehicles. I was a little nervous seeing it, you go papa bear.
