Some people keep flaws in stones to show it's real and actually came from the ground, just hide it at the edge where people won't pay attention much, or where a bezel might hide it, and the flaw honestly adds character to the stone, since we don't know how to man-make flaws yet . . . in stones at least. What are your favorite flawed or slightly-imperfect stones in your collection, I'd imagine this is one of them, but I'd like to see some others that gave you little surprises you decided to keep after cutting them, or maybe ones you're still wrapping your head around how you'll finish them in the future.
@ThriftHunter4 жыл бұрын
Beautiful piece. I think I would dome it out a little more and hide more of the cleft personally. Still a tiny smidge of grey in the center-right. I'm sure you decided it's not worth cutting 5cts more off and losing thousands in value. A nice setting would surely hide a majority of the flaws and accentuate the color. Nice stone for a cuff bracelet I think. Thanks for sharing!
