Greed is the new talking point for gamers. Publishers have been crossing the line. $60 for a port of a 4 year old game is just a money grab. Especially when they don’t even bother to include a physical copy of the first game like they did on the Wii U.

I agree that charging $60 dollars is bullshit for ports of a half physical copy of a game duo release with the same visuals. However the performance has improved on the Switch over the original WII U version of the game. A video from Tech Foundry proves this, and hence I disagree with your claim that the performance is the same.

I watched the same DigitalFoundry video, the performance is more stable, but not a day and night improvement over the Wii U version.

Ok im curious what if they did put both games on physical cartridges would you still say the same? What if it was maybe $50? Im not trying to be a corporate apologist by any means im just curious what you think. However as I dont have a wii u i might have to buy it for switch but when its on sale.

ultimatepower digital copies are totally overpriced. All three consoles have a problem with digital games costing more than physical copies.

Everybody needs to hop on to Best buy's gamers club. Never again will I pay $60 for any game when there's always something not right during the release. $47.99 is my Max cap forever on gaming

I agree, it should be 10 to 20 bucks cheaper, but there are actually some performance improvements with the Switch. Plus it's a handheld.

Down here new games(even re-releases) cost $86. Honestly, I sometimes just can't understand the mindset that determines these crazy prices. As for Bayonetta 2 on Switch, it should at least be $30 and I think even this is a little too much.

If you are in Australia, I have to wonder why you are making a apples to oranges comparison. The average Australian makes significantly more money vs the average American. Based on cost of living, 86 AUS dollars is not the same as 86 US dollars. Current exchange rates are 75.86 Australian Dollars = 60 US dollars. So that $86 isn't as ridiculous as you claim. Not to mention taxes being included in that price.

Bayonetta 2 for the Switch shouldn’t been even 40 dollars. Folks this is a handheld device. New games should be 40 bucks max. Bayonetta 2 should be 25 dollars.

Have you seen Nintendo Games and their price history? Nintendo rarely drops the price of their games. Look at Zelda Breath of the Wild, it is still $60 when all games that came out around that time are less than $30 in most cases. Nintendo also has a history of low production runs which drives the costs of these games even higher.

jakthebomb That's because Zelda is still in high demand. Understandable because it won game of the year. Mario Odyssey dropped below $40 at one point and it came out months after Zelda.
