Fun Fact: the Boy Scout Book actually extends the number of days until you have to give them food and water. Its vital to have when you are low on rations cause you can last longer.

I could totally see Insym learning this game inside and out, and then creating new challenges to keep things fresh. "Can I survive without grabbing ANY supplies at the start?" or "Can I survive with no expeditions?" etc. Would love to see more!

Here are some tips, NO SPOILERS: 1. Fatigue - No need to worry about this debuff, it doesn't change much (Happens when a member has stayed in the fallout shelter for more than around 20 days) 2. Twins ending - You can only get the ending if there is no red handprint on the wall. 3. Endings - Good endings always have banging on the door as their last event (Make sure to answer that) 4. Timmy - Usually the best person for scavenging 5. Food/Water rationing - Optimally give food and water once every 5 days (Scavenging might mess up the timing) 6. Injuries - Will not cure naturally (Not fatal, but will lead to sickness) 7. Sickness - Has 2 states that can be determined from how bloodshot their eyes are. Has a low chance of being cured when given food/water daily, guaranteed using a medkit or if lucky cured by shower event. (Not curing can lead to death)

I like how you let Ted die despite having a medkit the whole time, punishment for his terrible expedition

Bandits: The more often you leave for expeditions the more likely they will arrive at your place. Whenever they arrived, you basically won't get rid of them. So you REALLY have to spread out your expeditions more. Apparently the "mini expeditions" in the events also count towards this, but I'm not so sure. Whenever I spread out expeditions by like 4-5 days, I never had the annoying bandit attacks happen.

Well, since you asked for tips. If you have Mary Jane and you get the spiders event in the shelter, do not react with any item, let it play out, the payoff is worth it.

Fun Fact: When you steal from your neighbors or steal from the old ladies while you have started the twin ending, the twins wont come back anymore.

Fun fact: Uncle Terry refers to Terry Pratchett and his stories about turtles, elephants and wizards refers to his Discworld sagas, and everyone should read them cause they're awesome

Fun fact: There are extra things in the suitcase that are sometimes needed + 3 more things can be taken on the trip

In case you didn't know this game also has a sequel called 60 Parsecs, it's a space version of the game with different items and stuff but same kind of gameplay and feeling, both games are really fun

Useful tips and no spoilers: Bring the suitcase it have stuff in it when you go in the bunker and it let’s you bring more stuff out on scavenging also you should give them food and water every five days because that’s the best time to feed them. How to get pancake the dog, you do same what you did except for when you used the rifle instead you use map or the axe the map give you two cans of soup and axe gives you four water bottles and a rifle if you have the scout handbook and after that in future he will comeback damage and you have to give him a med kit and he will enter your bunker if you not have the cat and the dog can scavenge for you and give you useful stuff some times and he is also another protection for bandit only one time. I sat through all your playthroughs, watching the videos in one sitting each. it's a super interesting game with much replay value (and rewatch value)...so I'd absolutely love to see more of it!

Next time you should find the suitcase to carry more items, it might make the expeditions more successful. Hey Insym! Great stream, loved it, I noticed the comments have very helpful tips but here's one which I'm sure you'll need a hundred percent: The most efficient way of using the Soup Cans and Water Bottles is to use them every 5 days. (A person can survive 4 days without water, and usually 9 days without food.) So on day 1 do nothing, then on day 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 etc.. is when you ration Soup Cans and Water Bottles, however, the player can go without food until day 10 in the beginning, then do once a day. The schedule may get messed up if the player sends someone out. Edit!- Oh also, another tip: Leaving Mary Jane is an excellent strategy because she goes insane very easily and is often proved worthless when scavenging for supplies.

I don't know how the game determines fatigue, but maybe keeping them permanently hungry and thirsty to save supplies, is the cause of their fatigue. At least irl, once it sets in, it's very hard to reverse :P

Its reccomended to hold out on giving food and water until 5 days as family members can last a total of 5 days without food and water, dying on the sixth

The additional hand slots when selecting someone for expedition are unlocked if you bring the suitcase with you during the 60s. Selecting the suitcase will then allow you to carry 3 additional items for expedition.

PLEASEEEE do a round where you send timmy on the first expedition with the suitcase, gas mask and flashlight! It always say they couldnt see in the dark, but i think the suitcase gives you the chance to take more things out all at once, so i wanna know if you take the the flashlight and gasmask you'd get something more from the car!
