Kids... That's why you find an evo with low miles that hasn't been beaten to the ground. It's like buying an m3 you often enough have to rebuild everything because it's the type of car that likes to get thrashed around by there owners a lot.

That top exit 02 dump tube tho!! 600hp is the maximum HP that I would go for on a 4cyl engine. Sure you can get something ridiculous like over 1000hp, but those have no torque band and they are point and go. Evo's are RALLY cars for the street, 600hp is more than enough! Remember, the car is supposed to corner better than it goes in a straight line...

I love the car and the video. I'm curious, would the waste gate dumping up like in this car eventually dirty or possibly stain the hood. I've seen white cars with the rear bumper dirty or stained right where the exhaust exits.

That's the wastegate dumping exhaust gases to atmosphere when it hits peak boost. To prevent intake pressure from exceeding the limit you set at the boost controller (and potentially damaging the engine), the wastegate bypasses the turbo's turbine wheel by diverting exhaust around it, either back into the exhaust after the turbo or into the air.

The 4G63 engine in Evos and DSMs is a cast iron block, aluminum head 2 liter I4. It's sometimes ported to 2.3 liters.

x Milkyy Yeah they are tough little engines. People have been trying to get as much power as they can out of them for 25 years though. Lots of people are running 1,000 hp at the wheels, and some like Brent Rau that put down around 1,400.

Here in germany we have a 500 hp evo. Its up for sale at around 30k Euro. Nothing I would buy though for a daily driver too unreliable with that power I think.

+Ckc dillpickle actually they made 2,500. But I'm pretty sure that nobody received them yet since the release date was like 6 days ago. One way or the other internal combustion is much better than a battery powered turd. IMO
