Andrew Hitt, who signed a phony electoral certificate for former President Trump in 2020, tells 60 Minutes that he and other Wisconsin Republican electors were tricked.

I thought similar. I'm glad (for lack of a better term) he's coming clean here, showing a conscience. But how someone that educated, that entrenched in not only the political system, but Republican party, and Trump campaign, claim he was so naive that he was "tricked" is a poor excuse, and frankly not wholly believable. He very likely knew what they were doing was wrong at multiple stages, likely illegal, and lacked a spine to stand up against it.

I'm prepared to grant him grace on this. I was once a whistle-blower. It's not easy to do. I paid for my whistle-blow by losing my job. As a divorced parent, with no income from my ex and raising a child, it was not an easy decision. I made it anyway, which means I get to look in the mirror in the morning and feel good about myself.
