This is part 2 of my long weekend away in Retford in the campervan, in which I try out a toasting gizmo sent to me by a viewer, and try to recreate a recreation of a McDonald's breakfast bagel, as seen on the AdzVentures channel.

That was me that sent the strange toasting contraption. The young lady at the post office was very curious about the description I put on the mailing info. Yes, it does burn the toast very easily and I always have to take the battery out of the smoke detector, in my camper/caravan, when I use mine. Did you happen to see the instructions I included in the box?

If you can find a canning ring, the ring that holds a lid on a home canning jar, you can make a perfect egg mcmuffin sized egg in it. I spray mine with non stick spray, but it's the exact right size and shape for either a bagel or an english muffin.

Some great one liners in that video😂 A couple of thoughts for you 1) Brown sauce with sausage (sausage substitute, and ketchup with bacon (bacon substitute) 2) re showers with those pain to use bush buttons. On sometimes take a cable tie and leatherman multi tool. A fix cable tie around pipe and button, then cut it off when you have finished shower

Hubby made our once a year visit to McDonald's for a breakfast bagel and brought home a Berger King croissant. No more Bagel sandwiches here in Ohio, either. We were very disappointed. Yours looks great.

Take a zip tie ...put the shower button to on, tighten zip tie. Let shower run to hopefully reach warm temp. Shower, then cut zip tie off....need pen knife ! Also, go early. Before 07.00. Most camp site users are not up that early to shower so any hot water is yours.

Good for you David, I also eat veggie sausages, they taste good and are much better for the body. I'm supposed to eat low fat, low cholesterol because of a triple bypass years ago. Great painting....! being an old sign painter myself I obviously noticed that. "Old sign painters never die, they just fade out" Thanks David for another great video...!!!

Ha, a video that embodies the transition from canals to campervanning - well done young sir. Just to mention - in the old days we used to take the kitchen toaster on trips in our splendid Fiat Talbot Highwayman - oh those were the days. May your van trips be as enjoyable as ours were.

You could not pay me to eat Plant based meat. We hear all the talk about processed food and that is 100% processed. I'm more of a bacon guy but I like sausages and I can get my from a local farmer so it really fresh!

I'm hungry now. 😄. An old tip for getting out of sticky situations like boggy ground or even snow. If you keep a couple of cheap door/floor mats, the carpet type in your storage area. If you get a bit stuck, jamb the shorter edge in front of the driving wheels and gently drive forward out of the boggy dip. Once moving drive to firmer ground and then retrieve the muddy mats for use again, hopefully sometime in the very distant future . If you dont drive over the mat slowly you risk them getting shot out behind and you have to start again.

If you are worried about sausages and their content, try Kosher sausages, they only use the finest cuts from the front half of the cow, no nasty cow bits. Those vegan foods often contain large amounts of soy beans which contain estrogen, hence if consumed too much, you might be needing a bra in the future, You certainly don't want that I'm sure. Cheers from a Texan where meat is almost a religion... BTW LOVED THE VIDEO!

Gaffer tape over the press button for the shower might just have allowed the water to get to an acceptable temperature. 🤔 Lovely park, aren't some places lucky to have something so pleasant. Have a good week David , polish up those handcuffs 😉

Retford is a strange place as nobody seems to have heard of it, or is indeed sure exactly where it is. I don't know if you are a Bill Bryson fan, but in 'Notes From A Small Island' he observes that on arriving at Retford railway station, he was the only passenger to alight, or indeed board, and that all the station staff gathered at a window to look at him!😂 Probably an exaggeration, but partially true!?

In my youth I liked to cook my bread right over the top of the gas stove! I haven't done that in years.. everyone complained about the smell of the burned bread but I really enjoyed it.. I hope you liked it... Cheers from Missouri USA David..

"The Beast" sleeping pod. Highly recommended and will keep you warm. We use them in a tent down to 0'c and are very comfortable.

Your weather seems to be the same as here in Ontario, the temperature wan minus 2 last night and our Daffodils are nicely blossomed. Your toast making rig gave me less than fond memories of the toast that I consumed while camping with my family so so many years ago...burned black, cold, and even a hint of Naphtha gas from our less than efficient Coleman camp stove. But seriously David, veggie sausage in England!!! You risk deportation from the land of blood pudding to some ungodly place such as California!
