Tremors is 30 years old this year and it is one of my all time favorite movies! Earl's Jeep Gladiator Thriftside Pickup Truck is also one of my all time favorite movie cars too! With so much personality and screen time the truck is practically a supporting character.
I found the deleted scene here but I cleaned it up slightly in editing.

@BARON_OV_METAL Yeah I love that part! He wasn't just putting it in gear though, he was putting it into 4 wheel drive and low range. Not sure if you know this but most old-school 4x4 trucks like that have an extra shifter in the floor that controls the 4wd system. It usually has 4 positions, 2 Wheel drive, 4 High, 4 Low and neutral. 4 Low is geared for maximum low speed pulling power at the cost of top speed and fuel economy. Low range in an old 4x4 truck is no joke, my dad used low range 4wd to pull a full size mobile home with a 76 Jeep in the 80s after a guy with a 2wd V8 Chevy truck burned his clutch out trying to move it. You can also see the brutal pulling power of old 4x4 trucks in the old Chevy log train commercial where they tow 187 tons of logs with a new 70s Chevy 4x4 truck. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/grJkgsiastDapJ8.html

For anybody wanting to build a clone of the truck , I'm pretty sure that the bed was leftover from the Willys trucks that preceded it . The '47-'64 models . The bedsides and front wall are the same as a late '47-'53 GM truck , and those are available as reproduction parts . Mack Products makes the parts . And yes , Jeep truck production overlapped the Willys truck production . As long as they had parts on hand , they built them .

Yeah it's a classic, I wore it out as a kid then didn't watch it again for years until the other day. Looking at it from an adults perspective now this was an excellent piece of acting, storytelling and thematics. Being from the desert I'm sure you can relate to some of it.

@Camaro Time yeah the second one was still pretty good but quality started to drop off a bit from the third one onward. Michael Gross is still hangin' in there pretty good, he's what makes them worth watching for me. Speaking of Tremors movies they are filming a new one right now in a tropical setting. I think this one is number 7.

All you had to do was to address the people that made the movie. And adjust lightning or something small that makes it your content to an extent so your not just advertising their show. Plus since there was a deleted scene it wouldnt really be copyright since it wasnt apart of the orginal show. It was literally a cut out. So instead of split screen you couldve cut out the video to were the events actually happen.< Thos is another way to dodge copyright.
