I love pro fighters like Lerdsila. Unlike the typical steroid freaks in MMA who tries to kill the opponent, he showed true sportsmanship by letting the younger fighter live to fight another day rather than hurting him so badly he gets taken out of circuit for good. A true master at his game.

he's master enough to control the fight on how to win but not to hurt the opponent too much.

Lerdsila is not a KO master. Sure his fights looks fancy with all the evasive techniques and the lowkicks.. But he focus on points.. He is like the mayweather of muay thai.. Not that i hate on him tho

This is why we love lerdsila. Plays safe for points the first 2 rounds, get a good lead, play with the oppent and make them desperate. Round 3 he just slips and counters. Opponent is frustrated and easy to read and every missed punch is going to add to that
Lerdsila's tap on the back of Hui's head at 11:15 is hilarious. Every one of Hui's spinning kicks also hilarious.

he fundamentally so in control, amazing. See 2:36 to taste the waters, 3:00 wipe it clean, 12:11 stand strong young boy. Than the whole final game without striking, let the opponent explore its creativity without hitting back. Amazing.

Damn...Lerdsila is playing with his opponent! If these were Muay Thai rules, where real clinch work and throws/sweeps are allowed, Lerdsila would have really hurt him after a couple rounds. I have to admit after years of watching different styles of martial arts, Muay Thai has earned maximum respect from me! No other form of striking translates so well across different styles of competition...there's also the fact that in a street fight it sure is deadly!

All Thai boxers, when seeing that the opponents are inferior, must have sympathy, fear that the fighting partner will be seriously hurt, therefore have to punch lightly, just win only

Yes he has years of experience, good technique, clever thinking, but what amazes me the most are reflexes. Holy Jesus, his reflexes are out of this world.
Its not even in same League, like a cat playing with mouse. But he is very kind to not hurt his opponent by KO nor humiliate his them. Only winning by points.

I've to to say that I'm impressed with Lerdila's very solid fundamentals. Sure, he's extremely evasive. But he never drops his guard. He lands solid hits. He hits at multiple angles with mostly solid leg/body blows and basic punches. He keeps distance well with teeps and feints. Meanwhile, the Chinese guy was embarrassingly flailing and telegraphing his moves. His flopping desperation spin kicks were really embarrassing (and reminded me of myself in highschool). I'd lose on points against the Chinese guy, but Lerdsila would destroy any remnant of a fighter's will I'd have.

Lerdsila nicknamed "the eel"(slippery/evasive) is from same school as Saenchai, thus similar style, Saenchai has more tricks (besides knee and occasional elbow) and power, so not as popular as Saenchai, Rod Tang (the Tank), and Buakao; the last two are heavier hitters.
Lerd is always playing with his opp mental side, that bodyslam n sweep kicks plus his face gesture like saying 'you're way under my rank' , this would most likely work on young warrior like this one in the vid, the blood boils faster ..then they would start to play out of gameplan and reckless
