I recently got the lambo and have a couple mini GT. I like Elite 64 hands down waaaaay better for the detail, paint job, and removable parts. Not to mention the Hot Wheels brand name adds a little more to the value of it due to current popularity.

The Elite Lambo is by far the most impressive release so far. They did a great job on it. Outside of the moving parts though, I think MiniGT has a nicer decorated car overall with better paint and tampos. I like cars from both brands though!

The only one i got from the elite serious. Totally agree with u. Mini GT lambos are way better but this is a hot wheels. They should do better.

Subbed. The price is steep compared to other companies. I still don't see this being $20 but I have the Chaser so call me a sucker...as well as the Mustang

Agree - $20 gets you some pretty nice stuff nowadays. I’m not hung up on needing a metal base on everything either, so some of the cars like Sparky that have great detail but a plastic base, are still very nice for close to $10. Hopefully the competition will push HWs to release even better stuff than they are now!

I got it on eBay - just search for Poster Cars 1/64 scale.

Poster cars arent so good. Yes, they have more detail than this, but check it out how MiniGT at so low price archieves to make nice carbon fiber details... wich Poster cars never do. I guess you should check the subject, Sian is a case where Poster Cars lack half the beauty of the car.

Its like you said, against other companies HW is far behind. I have this in MiniGT both blue and black cars and are a lot better in everything at a 15us at launch. I´m waiting for this one in a couple of weeks and i will make a proper comparision. I had my channel in pause with an idea and finally in a couple of weeks I will start uploading a lot of material I was filming, check it out! I think HW after 100% series never again did something trully at scale or the quality that collectors expect, Elite64 are expensive toys, and shouldnt have an excess of metal at all. Regular doesnt have it, why this one has such error? Total lack of respect to their consumers! Anyway, thanks on the video

The 100% line was the best line they ever had - so many amazing castings in that line with unique wheels, moving parts, removable parts - that’s where they need to be again. The Elite line is good, but no where near the greatness of the 100% line. Agh, I wish they still had that line!

I do think that the complaining on the car keepers is unnecessary. RLC is also there most premium line. Hot Wheels has always had an advantage in that they are almost always more sturdy than there competitors.

I think we deserve every single rlc cars going forward to made to the "elite" specification or better (unique wheels, unique moulding, more detail, moving parts) rather than just a clapped out mainline. Especially if they're charging $30 a pop whereas basic mini gt and tarmac works are $15 and are better in every way. The problem is hot wheels is incredibly late to the hyperdetail 1/64 scale. They barely just came out with these elite 64 cars whereas mini gt and tarmac works have been doing this level of detail or better for years. They're the new kid on the block to the likes of tarmac works and mini gt in this department, so they have to offer something that one ups the other two, but they're not doing it. This aventador is the best so far and I like it a lot, as a line that claims "elite", they still got a long way to go since there's only 3 releases and the other 2 are not that great.

On a side note, if you want a great looking 1/64 diecast with immaculate paint and hyper detail engine that still rolls well, you gotta check out the mini gt x kaido house models. I know people like the 510, but for me it's the fairlady z all day. It's truly one of the most beautiful 1/64 model that still rolls and is relatively not too expensive for what it offers at $20.

I opened a few Mini GTs on this channel a year or two ago and came to that exact discussion point - HWs got lazy and took their position at the top of the diecast hill for granted and are now on the way down. They are overcharging and under-delivering on every release. RLC cars with bad paint jobs and no quantity number? $40. A Mini GT with better detail and quality? Half that. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Hot Wheels must, MUST, correct their trajectory asap or they will no longer be the business how we know them today. They are falling well behind and the Elite line is a last effort to grab a buyer that is already to jump ship. As for the Kaido - agree - love those cars. I have the Datsun Wagon in blue and one of the Nissan Z’s and they are so so good. Again, half the price of an RLC and still less than Elite and they are still better.

@64Wheels the lbwk lamborghini aventador was the first hot wheels collectible I purchased in 3 years. I stopped caring about the rlc releases. I remember they were worth while when it was 4000 pieces each release. Rlc quality have always been bad compared to mini gt or tarmac, but it had the exclusivity factory back when they were actually limited. Then, they kept increasing the production number and the price while the quality remained the same. I've been all over tomica limted vintage and the old kyosho diecasts as well as the previously mentioned mini gt and tarmac works, but not hot wheels.

Do you think their Elite line is more controversial than the new 1:43 line?
@64Wheels
@64Wheels 9 ай бұрын
That’s a great question - the 1/43rd line is very decisive too. From what I’ve read, it seems like more people are split on the Elite stuff than the 1/43rd cars, as the consensus for those is a basically “too expensive, not enough detail”, where as the Elite stuff seems to have people discussing the actual model rather than scale (if that makes sense). I still need to do an unboxing video on the 1/43 cars, but just from looking at them in the packages, I would pick the Elite Lambo over the 1/43rd Countach if given the choice between the two.
@Vifam7
@Vifam7 9 ай бұрын
The Lamborghini is certainly the best of the 3. Yes, I'd rather they do away with the removal parts gimmick and instead, up the detail and QC.
@64Wheels
@64Wheels 9 ай бұрын
I do think if they would have forgone the moving parts and added brake/axle detailing and plastic lights rather than just tampo lights, the Lambo would rival a Mini GT or Tarmac car. We’ll see how the upcoming Mustang and Rover looks too - that will definitely give us a better picture of the line once we get several more vehicle styles. It will be interesting to see which one lasts longer; the 1/43rd line or the Elite line.
@Vifam7

@@64Wheels If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the Elite 64 line will last longer than the 1:43 line. 1:43 is just not a popular scale here in the states. And probably even less so among the Hot Wheels community. That said, with regards to the upcoming Mustang and Rover, I'm not feeling it. A heavily modded Mustang and a Land Rover is not exactly something I'd get excited about. But we'll see. Maybe I'll be won over.

The only reason I can think of is to why this line isnt the best and this goes for all hotwheels, some cars have small messed up decals/paint probably due to the fact that Hotwheels is such a big company and Mini GT while they are still a big company it isn't nearly as big as Hotwheels. Hotwheels has to do with a lot more orders and distribution
@64Wheels
@64Wheels 5 ай бұрын
The quality is a large part of it, but then the detail (or lack of) is the rest. Mini GT cars are fantastic and seem to have more detail than the Elite line for a lesser price too. Do you collect Mini GT cars?
@TheTallGeekGuy
@TheTallGeekGuy 5 ай бұрын
@64Wheels I have one Mini GT, if I had enough money then I would collect them. Hotwheels Premium feels like it's worth the price compared to my 20$ Supra
@64Wheels
@64Wheels 5 ай бұрын
I have about 20 Mini GTs and they definitely aren’t as heavy as a HWs premium, but they are much more of a premium release (if that make sense). The Mini GT tampos are cleaner, the paint quality is better, the wheels and tires are more accurate, the headlights and taillights are often plastic so they look more like lights, and overall they just have better detail. The white LBWK S15 Mini GT I did a video on is legitimately one of the best 1/64th scale release this century, especially for the price. It’s crazy how much detail they stuffed into that $15 car!
@TheTallGeekGuy
@TheTallGeekGuy 5 ай бұрын
@64Wheels completely understandable, and I do agree that the LBWK S15 Mini GT looks bang on to the real life model. It's just the price point for standard hotwheels and elite 64, legitimately feels like some of the 64's have so much missed potential

Thanks! It is very addicting - easy to collect me they sell HWs at almost every store you go to! The Lambo is much better than the Mercedes imo a well. The Mercedes is good, but not great as the quality of the car and paint aren’t up to “elite” levels by any means. Hopefully the line will continue to get better as time goes on 🤞

I agree with that in some aspect - it seems like when collectors, including myself, think of an “elite” level casting, that these cars aren’t what comes to mind. The Lambo is pretty good but for it to still have questionable paint/tampo choices and to be honest, looks like the MiniGT version without the detail of the MiniGt version, is rather disappointing.
