It was nice to save the bumper recess area, making that would take quite a bit of time. Too bad that replacement panel will require a bunch of work too. Hopefully the right side will go quicker.

I'm in the process of doing my 65 Comet and 1/4's were fixed poorly and I am stripping out all of the bad. Not as bad the one you're doing but it's just labor intensive.

Where did you get those patch panels? I need a set for my 65 comet.

They came with the car he bought guy had buoght them years ago off eBay. They’re no longer available because they were garbage. Did not fit at all had to cut them up pretty bad and just use what I could.
