It's a Centrifugal Supercharger! Sits front side, not on the top. It's literally connected to the air filter.👍

What an absolute beast, makes my tuned E82 135i M Sport look and sound tame. it must be a bit sketchy doing 300km/h+ with so much power and such a short wheelbase, DSC on! I love the autobahn drive-by shots, greetings from 110 km/h speed limit nanny-state Australia

The lower torque number for a V8 makes it seem underwhelming compared to let’s say a coyote 5.0 mustang whom doesn’t make the same torque like a Camaro SS 6.2

who cares about an abundance of torque unless your drag racing? The s65 is 4.0 liters and revs to 8,400 rpm unlike the ford 5.0 and knuckle dragger chevy 6.2.

@@mitchellsteindler the statistics on premature rod bearing failure on the S65 are less than 2%. Since you want to go there though, the 6.2 LS suffers from hydraulic lifter failure and with it catastrophic cylinder collapse. I’ll put looser bearings in the s65 and keep spinning it to 8,400 forever. Glorious! Typical CAT 5 Miata owner comment lol

Usually you get this raspy S65 sound when going straight/straight through mufflers and headers. I believe the exhaust valves are located close to headers, hence you get all it's glory. Amazing engine, amazing car, amazing package, all the best to Robert! Thanks for showing us this.

Damn it I have this exact same car and while mine is a 128i, I have the 1m front bumper with an aftermarket lip and black halo headlights, but this thing is just beautiful. My car is 354 Titanium Silver Metallic. I also have Active Autowerke headers, an AA tune, a Magnaflow exhaust, and an AFE Stage 3 cold air intake. It's got the dreaded GM six speed auto, but it's quick and shifts like butter. One day it'll get a six speed manual swap and a remote mounted turbocharger. I have six turbochargers left from my Honda builds, and I have a welder, an aftermarket front mount intercooler, and I even have a Walbro 450 LPH fuel pump for my car. One day I will make it happen. Turbocharging the N51 engine and making 300-350 whp will be plenty for me and it'd be SO much cheaper and easier than buying and swapping a N55...

Wat een monster van een auto, echt petje af 👌😉. Heb zelf ook bmw gereden (e46,e90) maar dit is echt wat anders. Hij heeft al het beste van de BMW e series in 1 auto gestopt. Body van de bmw 1 serie die qua looks als 1 van de beste eruit ziet. En de motor van een bmw 3 serie e92 v8. Gecombineerd is dit naar mijn mening met deze setup een hele mooie en snelle BMW, al het beste van die tijd zit in 1 auto uniek. Klinkt als een F1 race auto 👌💯

Besides the choice of aftermarket headlights, this thing is absolutely perfect (even if I'd personally prefer a manual over DCT), and I'd 100% rather take this hodgepodge of parts instead of ANY new BMW (excluding the Alpina B5 GT Touring of course lol), it's definitely more "BMW" than any of the '23-24 BMWs 🙄
