I just collected them as everyone else did so I would think its up to you if you want to archive them, I have no right to give permission or not. I would assume most of this stuff is public domain and was made for people to freely use, thats my take on it.

I got 4500 with an Ali 5 and a K6-3+ @ 616 whit a GF2. Tested it after recaping it for the owner that gave me this board and CPU to mod. He got it up to 5200 points eventually. So yea more capable chipset.

I get 5016 points on exactly that setup. ASUS P5A rev 1.04 K6-3+ 400@616mhz

I think my friend broke 200fps (or at least very close) with a K6-3+ 400 I put liquid metal and a sempron IHS on and binned to 616Mhz, tough he ran 633Mhz (probably not stable) with a GF2GTS. But he also used an Aladdin 5 MB that I recapped and that board has pretty big advantage in overall performance. Also a K6-3+ @ 616 was a few percent faster then the K6-2+ @ 672Mhz on the same motherboard so 633 with the full L2 is fast, with the Aladdin 5 board about 20% faster in 3dmark2000 (about 5000 points) so yea you can get some sick FPS in Quake3 for a SS7 system. Also I do modify Quake 3 code a bit to get more ompf and we had a competition for the fastest quake 3 benchmarks so source code changes, configs changes where allowed. One problem with Quake 3 is that it only supports 44Khz sound but its easy enough to enable (ID actually just commented it out, probably due to some bugs) so that I have done so 22 and 8Khz is supported and that gives a nice boost to CPU limited machines. That with a lot of other tweaks. We did host a Quake 3 competition on out Discord server a while ago and the winner hit 560fps fps on Athlon 850Mhz and GeForce 256 with a playable configuration. EDIT: found a screen shot of my friends K6-2 400+@ 633Mhz, 198,6fps in Quake 3, thats what more cache, better chipset, modified client and configs will do for you XD

@ I also have an Aladdin board, and I run a K6-III+ 400ATZ at 500Mhz. Definitely will have a lot to do with the modified source code. Obviously vertex lighting, picmip 16, lowest geometry settings etc. But even running full standard confight on Q3M1 the game ran very smooth in your video, especially near the giant tongue.

Hello! Yes its a very good and valid question! I was considering it. There where a few reason I opted not to. 1. There was none originally (why I dont know) 2. Difference in temperature between mosfet and heatsink seemed negligible from my measurements so contact seems fine. 3. It can be a bit messy, the oil leaking out of the past over time on to the board. The past drying up over time making things worse, the fact that I have to de-solder a cap and both heatsinksto repast it. 4. the temperature of the heatsink was high so thermal transfer seems fine so it was not so much a interface issue between mosfet an heatsink but rather heatsink area to air issue. So in the end I decided that the possible downsides outweighed the possible minor improvement in temperature. Thank you for watching and have a nice day!

He did the same Cpu mod on my k6-3+ 400 cpu. It is now 100% rock solid stable at 616mhz. Im now using a lower voltage, and it is stable.
