Sign for a diverging lens is positive right?,converging lens id negative,you've taken the opposite

Diverging lenses have negative focal lengths. They can only produce virtual images, which have negative image distances. The only way to always get a negative image distance, regardless of the object distance, is to have a negative focal length.

Since the rays didn't converge, the image is never formed on the other side of the lens. Instead, they can be traced backwards to a virtual image

-1/15 = -1/10 + 1/do, so 1/do = -1/15 + 1/10 = -2/30 + 3/30 = 1/30, then invert both sides to get do = 30
