Hollywood's depictions of the future are usually pretty far-fetched - like the flying cars of "Blade Runner" and the hoverboards in "Back to the Future II." The World Economic forum surveyed over 800 experts and executives to find out what the future will actually look like. Here are 7 amazing technologies they think the world will see by 2030.

I agree, I don’t want to know that I have something in my hand. But to be honest I’d be fine if there was some type of really small tech that can be used to see the virtual and the real world. I think it’s necessary since you can watch KZfaq and play games while knowing where you are in the real world. So it’s basically like combining two components VR, and reality into one tech. Now we already have stuff like this, but it’d be cool if it was a bit more advanced.

Yeah just seeing this in 2022 and these predictions are extremely inaccurate like c'mon phones in our body by 2024 which is just 2 years away and 2 years ago it was 2020, I don't think so. *Some realistic predictions* Foldable phones are common, 3D printing tech has started to arrive, Mars missions(2028 according to SpaceX), nanobots are arriving, Transistors can't get more smaller, the world is more wealthier than ever, people aren't mentality prepared for phones in our body and China is now the largest economy.

@leun6768
@leun6768 4 жыл бұрын
@@WoWplayer527 The things that are going on now, including wars, mass destructon weapons, climate changes, natural distasters etc didn't quite happen for hundred years ago. In the early 1900s climate change was a rather irrelevant topic. Then we also know that most people are religious, including me. I (like many people) believe in a God and the Day of Judgement (something that you may or may not find absurd). The reason why I believe in it is the scientific knowledge someone for hundreds of years ago knew that science has recently discovered, or things that are occuring right now (minor sins) that is promised to occur before the day of judgement. So we have two perspectives on this topic. Mankind ends due to humans or mankind ends due to the decision of God. For you to be so sure about humans being around in 2119 is absurd, because this is something we don't know. No one is preventing you from believing that the spaghetti monster exists or that we will make it a trillion years either. No one is preventing you from believing that a big astreoid will hit the earth in 5 years either. You can believe this things, but can't simply know when.
@WoWplayer527
@WoWplayer527 4 жыл бұрын
@@leun6768 mankind as we know it is probably just gonna be ended by evolution. Humans will gradually change into some else. Just as they did in the past and continue to do at this very second. So once again: unless something unprecedented in human history happens (not impossible at all) humans WILL be in here in 2119. That's a very not long amount of time from now.

@@outofthebox9699 idk, haven’t watched this video for 4 years. I just responded to your reply that I got notified about. But considering all setbacks of the pandemic we had these past few years, I doubt most predictions for 2020-2024 would be very accurate lol. Maybe in like, a decade or two, but that might be a bit generous. Then again, you can never truly know for certain. I don’t really like making these kinds of predictions, because usually there’s never ENOUGH information to go off of. Too many uncertainties. I don’t want to say it’s “likely” we’ll get something and then we don’t, or vice versa. I don’t want to say something is “impossible” to do and then it ends up being done. It’s also possible that certain scientific breakthroughs are happening at this very moment and we wouldn’t be able to know about it due to such findings still being worked out or not being published yet. Sure, one can go off of statistical probabilities when it comes to technological evolution, like taking into account what we have nowadays, considering how long it took to develop them, what it might be possible to do with them in the future, and using all that to calculate what the projected timeframe of such future advancements might be. But those methods of predictions can’t really take into consideration stuff that we don’t/couldn’t have known about, like the pandemic that hit, or an unusually massive solar storm that could knock out most power grids on the planet, or an unpredictable seismic effect that damages important labs or research facilities etc. So really, this is a very long drawn-out and specific way of me basically saying “I don’t know.” I overthought this, didn’t I?

People communicating by brain waves and accidentally saying the wrong thing in their mind would cause alot of people to lose friendships once the other person heard what they were really thinking. That’s just how some people are nowadays. So it would end up being a big mistake for a lot of people I’m sure. Anyone agree?

I’ve been having extremely hyper realistic continuous dreams that I’m a teenager in high school in the late 2030s early 2040s. The school I go to in the dream is HUGE (population and campus-wise) and super international. Plus, everyone there is very good-looking for some reason. I wish I knew where the dream takes place. It’s pretty cool, though. Kinda feels like the dream isn’t a dream at all and is actually happening.

I want to see these "experts" that thought communicating wirelessly through brainwaves would become commercially available by 2024. Even today as far as communicating through brainwaves goes, its very barebones and requires wires and pads, and they can only communicste very vaguely, not to mention an implant that can communicate with the brain. I wouldnt be surprised if this was achieved by 2030, but even then the chances are slim, to say the least.

Cayetano Sanchez, you can search "morse code" on the Internet and everything you just mentioned. You can watch TV via Internet, and listen to radio too. Basically you are in front of the most massive medium for information access. TV didn't become a right because it's mainly pleasure, but for many people Internet is their job. Nowadays you can connect your TV or cellphone to Internet to do basically anything. Why would you compare such a powerful tool with mostly-pleasure inventions?

I have mixed feelings about robot workers. My uncle has exactly the kind of job that could be replaced by factory robots. On the other hand, the hours are long, the pay is terrible, & there's metal shrapnel constantly flying at his face & hands, so the working conditions are practically unfit for humans.
@ImTitanOG
@ImTitanOG 7 жыл бұрын
This only begs the question, how long until we have advanced ourselves out of purpose and meaning? I don't think "robots will take over the world", but I do think that eventually powerful people will have given TOO much to technological advancements. We will eventually have worked enough to make ourselves work-less, therefore eliminating the need TO do anything FOR anything. I hope this takes long enough that people have time to wake up and realize the doom that is impending. Unfortunately, those same powerful people will have none of that. Greed will be the ultimate downfall of man.
