This game is freakin amazing

My copy arrived earlier and I am so excited!

And since you can't switch to Punisher Mode from a basic guard like Remake, you can now time your triangle button press to switch and parry a melee at the same time

I’ve been so mind blown by this whole game so far. I’ve invested quite a lot of time so far, and I’m still only in Del Sol. The mini games have been great, other than a couple being a bit frustrating at first. I’ve enjoyed Queens Blood as much as I enjoy Triple Triad, and the immersion into the overall world and gameplay is just mind blowing. I must say, thank you soooooo much for the mini map tip, because I much prefer that over the tracker and I had completely missed that setting!

Great video!! This highlights a lot of the more subtle (but extremely useful) nuanced variations in the combat kits of each character (especially Cloud). The in-game tutorials miss some of these, and only do a lightly passing job of introducing others.

The Circle → Hold Square to do aerial combat is so vital it's baffling there isn't as far as I know an explicit tutorial for it.

Idk if this is in the video (probably is because it's important) but DON'T neglect your folios. I was getting my ass handed to me and somehow didn't realize how important leveling it up can be.

Top tip for hard mode: you can recover full mp at restored chocobo stops 😉

I still don't understand weapon upgrades anymore unless it's just the little equip on the material screen now. The folio must have took over as the primary upgrade system.

There is another hidden mechanic back party. During combat if you have down party you can go to your back party and do a synergy ability. I found it by accident when I was playing, they don't tell you until you walk to your party in the back during combat.

I've noticed that to put an enemy on pressure after dodging, i have to dodge one more time after dodging the attack. Has that happen to others

I really wish the party switch mechanic could have been implemented within combat. Most of the time, you can run from a fight and switch to a better liad out but there are times when this isn't an option and you either struggle to succeed (which can be fun) or you die and try again, which is kind of a pain.

To do that aerial attack for cloud you are semi incorrect as you do not need to evade and attack prior to doing that move you have to press Circle first and then the attack button and he will instantaneously throw those sword beams at any enemy be whether flying or not. I don't know what it is but I believe many reviewers have just been so excited to talk about this game now that they finally can and get information out that they're actually stating somewhat incorrect information across the board... and it hasn't been just with this channel it's been almost every channel has said at least one to three things that are either fully incorrect or at least partially incorrect

Now that I am halfway through rebirth. I can definitively say I prefer remake. Way too many limits on the player with rebirth. It seems like every mechanic anybody working for Square Enix brought up they tried to squeeze into this game. Don't get me started on the mini games that break immersion constantly. I'm all about the mini games. But half or more of the game is mini games and I'm not about that. Again it seems like every idea someone brought up the devs decided to try to stick it in there and it just doesn't feel right in my opinion. They are placed everywhere in the game blocking progression until you play them. Lots of them are not well done either. Like the piano one requiring precise movements with a Controller joystick LOL who made that call because they should be fired immediately. Along with the person who had the final decision to implement such a horrible mechanic. On top of that they're locking items and trophies Behind these horrible mechanics. Queen's blood is decent. Fort Condor was great and remake and whatever they have in rebirth is something else. Far from great. There's just so many things wrong with rebirth. They had such a good foundation to build on and in my opinion they went sideways instead of forward. People have their favorite moves and are forced to play in a different way to be able to unlock specific limit breaks. When in remake you just had access to whatever you had unlocked. It's a same they changed that. They changed so much that worked fine.

Copium got me good. I had to do a doubletake on the Synergy section to realize that Red's portrait wasn't Cissnei.

The first chapter was a yawn fest but I'm loving it now.
