In this video I am presenting the 7 strongest cryptid legends from within the province of British Columbia, Canada.
This is intended to be just a general overview of the major cryptids within the province, and I'd like to do more in-depth features on specific legends down the road as I gain more experience.
Cryptids are essentially creatures/beings of folklore and legend that have not been proven to exist yet. People speculate they may be flesh and blood creatures or perhaps something spiritual/interdimensional/mystical.
B.C. is generally regarded as the cryptid hotspot within Canada, and there are a couple legends within the province that you are probably already aware of.
I cover the following cryptids in this video:
1 - Bigfoot/Sasquatch
2 - Dogman
3 -The Devil Monkey
4 - Ogopogo
5 - Thetis Lake Monster
6 - Cameron Lake Monster
7 - Caddy the Cadborosaurus
Some of these creatures are found in a specific area of the province, and others are more widespread and seen across the continent.
There are a couple other legends that I did not include in this video, and I may do another one down the road on this topic.
If you are interested in other cryptids in Canada, you might enjoy the videos I posted on cryptid legends within Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Please leave your comments on Canadian cryptids, I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
Please consider subscribing to my channel if you'd like to watch more of my videos - I post about once a week.
Thanks for watching!

Good research the nahanni valley Indians talked about half human half monster creatures one story features a dog woman . The naha Indians the theory goes they not only had red eyed apes in those caves but also these Indians had come from Siberia and also had natives in Arizona mountains. I read it all in the book about the valley . Interesting stuff .

There are Stó:lō legends that Cultas Lake BC has a giant maggot named Hiqw Apel that lives beneath the lake and lures people into the water to eat their flesh. If you drown in the lake your body will never be found because the bones sink to the bottom.

@Simrata_ the headless valley is in the Yukon. A bunch of people have been beheaded there looking for gold. It's also a sacred place for the first nation of the area. It's official name is the Nahanni valley/ national park.

@@strangenorth lol… let’s just say that I haven’t camped since watching the Blair Witch Project lol. Silly I realize but I do know that what scares me is not knowing for sure… legend in itself is cloaked with mystery and nothing visual really to confirm what my head would be conjuring. I believe all these areas of reported sightings to indicate something unknown however I’m not one to approach the unknown with fear. If it were not for animals that could cause injury I would plunge deep into these places…. with friends of course lol…

@@Simrata_ Wow so it's been awhile for you hey, that movie came out ages ago - I love that movie and I'm inspired by how they did so much with so little! I'm taking a road trip through Saskatchewan next month and I'm visiting both the Saint Louis lights and the Crooked Bush for the first time and I look forward to posting videos about my experiences. Saskatchewan has a lot that people don't know about!
