Ever wondered what it's like to explore Alaska on one of the world's coolest cruise ships? From go-karts to icebergs, join me on an incredible 7-day adventure.
I’ve just disembarked a cruise on one of the biggest and most exciting cruise ships in the world, where I spent 7 days exploring Alaska. I saw and did things on this cruise that if I hadn’t seen them with my own eyes, I would not have believed that they were real. From music to shows to food to icebergs and go-karts, our cruise had it all.
This video is just one part of a series. Check out the other videos from this cruise here:

I have wanted to return to Alaska ever since I took my first cruise when I was 11 years old, that cruise was onboard the Norwegian Spirit and I wanted to recreate that cruise as much as possible. This time on the much newer and bigger Norwegian Encore.
I loved the trip so much back then but I didn’t know if it could possibly live up to my expectations as an adult. I wasn’t sure that we would have enough time to explore both the ports and the ship, and as I had travelled over 4700 miles to take this cruise, it definitely felt like a gamble, one that I hoped would pay off!
We boarded the ship in Seattle, and I was very happy to be given an embarkation time of 11.30, I love being onboard a cruise ship for lunch. That for me is always a great way to start a cruise. I have boarded cruises in the past at 8pm or even at midnight so 11:30 in the morning was fantastic.
In total, embarkation took us around half an hour, and because we’d already watched the safety video on our phone, we just had to check into our safety muster station on the ship. After that we were free to explore and to eat.

Hey Emma! It's Lyn! My family and I were so honored to invite you to see our aft cabin. I was still aghast that it was really you that I happen to have run into in the Haven. Meeting you was one of the highlights of our cruise.

We did Encore Alaska last year with in-laws. Ship had 4600 passengers and was crowded, but we still had a fantastic time. My wife got called onstage for Choir of Man. District Brewhouse was our go-to. sister in law had the time of her life, but she unfortunately passed in January at only 53. Will forever cherish the memory. RIP Jeneen.

I've been on 3 Alaska cruises, and live in Seattle. That is the weather I've experienced every cruise. Summers are gorgeous, the other 9 months of the year are dreary. Same with the parts of Alaska cruises visit. Glacier Bay is also much different than it was 20 years ago. See it while you can.

Orca Emma is probably just as fascinated with boats. That explains the orcas flipping those yachts.

I lived in Oregon, northwest USA, and thought Alaska would be more of the same geography, but it is so unique, so wild. Wonderful.

I grew up in the Yukon Territory and rode the White Pass and Yukon railway from Whitehorse to Skagway way (way, way) back in the early 1980s when it was a working railway hauling ore from the mine in Faro Yukon to Skagway.

‘If I could read people’s text messages from deck 8 I absolutely would’ - I laughed much more than was appropriate! I don’t take cruise holidays but I do love your channel Emma, thank you.

I've been on this cruise just with Princess. I did the helicopter with dog sleding and the train ride as well. Both fantastic things to do. It is a great cruise destination. I would love to go again. I still love looking at the photos that I took. I had a balcony room as well, a must for this cruise. I am from Australia

I agree that the observation lounge on an alaskan cruise is the best place to hang out. Sitting there with a beer is a terrific way to relax in the afternoon.

This ship looks so much like the Norwegian ship we went on from NY City to Bermuda last year. All the same venues and shows, it was fun to see again. It was the biggest ship we ever went on, and very busy, and noisy. So noisy, in fact, that my hearing aid batteries ran out two hours before they usually do! Twice, in fact.

I've been on three cruises, the most recent was about ten years ago. All were South from the US and I was absolutely bored stiff. I have enjoyed your videos despite the fact that I'd pretty much decided that I was allergic to cruises. This was the first time that I was actually a bit interested and I may now book this one. Thanks for the presentation.
