Honestly I’m just so freaking excited that it’s finally releasing on console that I’m completely fine waiting until next year for more updates. At least I can finally get back into 7 days. Definitely my favorite survival zombie game!! ❤

it was never on ps3, if you owned it on ps4 you will get 25% discount on ps5 if you own it digitally

Yeah,you are right,I'm mistaken because I got black PS4,then the white Destiny PS4 bundle,then a slim,then an Xbox one,then Xbox XS,I don't know anymore but I had 7 days on all of them, except XS.

The fun pimps had to go to court and fight for 3 years to get the rights back to the console version of the game and almost weren't able to. They didn't abandon the original console version of the game they just can't do anything with it because tell tale games still owns that sku and because the older consoles can't handle the new version because of memory and processer power.

False. They never went to court, the rights reverted back to them. According to a reporter Mike futterby and what I learned from the solvency group. They straight away decided to not try to port to older gen announcing in 2018. Lots of games have added versions for old gen including medieval dynasty, green hell etc. Not saying it would have been easy but they chose the money grabbing option. They also rereleased the old version of the game so they do actualy own the sku rights etc even though they also knew only 2 years later they would delist it or not support it. They never put any kind of disclaimer on store fronts stating it wasn't same version as pc nor it would recieve any updates.

@Jade-PG then 1 option, they bought the consoles right back. Even so, they probably have to start over making 7 days to die to consoles. Because the coding is probably lost or behind updates. But leaving in the store for a long time before delisting. I do agree with u on.

Just because they announced Xbox approval and PS submission doesn't mean it'll be delayed. Everyones just causing unneeded stress.

Well considering Sony's past with games that have cross platform support and aren't mainstream they tend to strain that certification for much longer than needed.

Crossplay isn't in the 1.0 console release, so won't play a factor in certification. They are pushing for that later in the year.

The only question I have now is: are TFP going to actually follow the timeline? nothing else matters. After years of us waiting...we have been given the drivers seat. The console game is now TFP's only hope to remain a gaming company. I can't see the PC gamer base wanting to trust them again (I could be wrong). TFP knew since 2019 they were making this into a console game. They took away choices...let the PC base rage/cry about Alpha changes and progression reworks...knowing full well they were making this into a console game. Still good...but never as good as it could have been if it was actually a PC game for PC gamers by a PC gaming company.

There is no version on playstation the last time i checked. Still its no problem for me, i am totaly NOT buying the downgrade 1.0 version without coop split screen. The coop split screen is wy i dit buy the ps4 version, and for me its the best coop split screen i have.

7 Days To Die Console (legacy / the one on sale), was developed by a completely different studio (Iron Galaxy) and published by TellTale Games. Telltale went bankrupt, and the game went un-updated. It’s not possible to update the legacy version to 1.0, as the new version is only a Nextgen title, and Sony and Microsoft sre not willing to give the new game to people for free. TLDR: It’s not the developers of 7DTDs PCs fault. They’re not money grubbing. It was unfortunate circumstances.

Then, TFP had to get the rights, which cost them a fair bit of money. TFP were not profiting very much money off 7 Days To Die console, as they only received a marginal amount of money from it, if that. Also, why would it be taken offsale? People on Console wanted 7 Days To Die. Taking it offsale would just make it much harder to get.

The lack of an update after they got the rights to their game back after the telltale fiasco feels intentional and kind of shitty if you ask me. They made a good bit of money off the console version and now they are probably going to make even more money from all the console players I swear they better not fuck us over again. May not be up. I'm on Xbox, Microsoft store, and been looking for a pre order. The old version is up, and the new version has its own thing. When I click on the new version, it has the full display... game info, screenshots, etc but the "buy" button says the game is not available.

@Sto_ck I'm not defending them. Yeah it's dumb but porting isn't a cheap process. They even had to hire a console port team from Australia which would be hard to work with since timezones differ. I'm excited for it
